Located in Arusha, 43 km from Moshi Railway Station, Kia Lodge provides accommodation with an outdoor swimming pool, free private parking, a garden and a terrace. The grounds were incredible! I admittedly only booked our stay at Kia Lodge because of its proximity to the airport ahead of and after early morning / late flight arrivals, but Kia Lodge was the best maintained and nicest hotel we stayed at during our month-long trip to Tanzania! We were very impressed by the beautiful gardens, beautiful pool with a view of Kili and the spacious + comfortable rooms, not to mention the very attentive and helpful staff! I had been a bit concerned because airport hotels don't always have the best facilities and can be loud, but that was the exact opposite of our experience at Kia - instead of planes, you're serenaded by a variety of birds from across the grounds (I think we heard an elephant at one point too) and made for a very relaxing last day of our trip. A big thank you to the wonderful team of staff who arranged perfectly timed transfers & pickups, and offered well balanced meals and a bar to enjoy from the pool.

With garden views, Airport Planet Lodge is situated in Kingori and has a restaurant, free shuttle service, bar, garden, year-round outdoor pool and terrace. Hidden away from view, it is a real find. People are exceptionally helpful, restaurant serves a decent supper and breakfast. Rooms are clean and comfortable. Can't ask for more.

Set within 35 km of Moshi Railway Station and 46 km of Old German Boma in Boma la Ngombe, Patience Airport cottages provides accommodation with seating area. Comfortable private studio perfect for overnight transits and access to/from the airport in about 10 mins. The host was super friendly and they cooked me a home cooked dinner that was up there as one of the best meals I had in the two weeks. I would recommend.

As a first time traveler to Kilimanjaro, my daughter and I didn’t quite know what to expect from a property that is located on 6 miles from the airport but off the beaten path. We were meet at the airport by a welcoming transport driver. We were pleasantly surprised by the gated villa styled home that was immaculately kept and adorned (from the marble floors to the plush bedding and backyard gazebo). Great WiFi! You can expect a delicious breakfast daily (try the banana soup) and we’d recommend adding the dinner option. You won’t be disappointed. Our hosts were kind & attentive. They treated us like family. We’d definitely return!

Host/owner was so kind and hospitable! She cooked us a meal and arranged transfer to airport for a fee- which was more than fair! Highly recommend if you are in need of a room before heading out on a long flight! We did not sleep there and only used the room for about 6 hours. Highly recommend!!

Perfect location for a night before flying out of Kilimanjaro airport. We showed up a little late and they made us dinner which was delicious. The host Angela arranged transport to the airport in the am and it was waiting for us at 515am. Great air conditioning and comfy beds

Catherine home near kilimanjaro international airport JRO is a recently renovated homestay in Moshi, where guests can make the most of its garden and shared lounge. Our flight out of JRO was early and so we wanted to stay close to the airport. Catherine's place is perfect for this. She was very friendly and helpful, instructed TukTuk-drivers, organised transfer to the airport and much more. Dinner with the family was great and we also had a quick breakfast though our flight was early. Everything is very clean. Value for money is perfect! We can recommend and would book with Catherines place again!
