We appreciated so much to have shower in the jungle surronded by palm leafs and accept a rope is the door for the toilet (yes, it's true and frankly speaking all is priceless!!!!). All the description look a bit as only for brave and indeed this "return to the basic" is exaclty what I think it should be experienced to understand we don't need that much to feel happy, just go back to the essential and appreciate!!! People have been very friendly and inclusive and did their best to let us feel welcomed and help for local activities.

We went as a family with kids. Ofcourse value for money compared to those hotels near to the beach. Mafia is a big island but inhabitants is low. Having said that, this hotel was near to any basic amenities required. It is even just 5 to 7 minutes walk to the domestic airport. The staffs welcomed us very well and made our stay exceptionally perfect. They even organized good deal excursion, we all kids managed to see whale-shark and swim with them at Kilindoni which was 10 minutes drive from this hotel. Even snorkeling and blue-lagoon was amazing at Utende which was about 40 minutes drive. All transport was well provided and taken care of us. Looking forward to be back!
