George and LuJean are very nice people. They make you feel right at home. a quite place to stay and they have excellent breakfast. I would highly recommend this place. Its much better than a hotel.

The room was very clean, well laid out and of a good size; breakfast was good. There is ample parking and the hotel is within walking distance of grocery stores and places to eat. The staff were very friendly and accommodating. Although there is no elevator, there was an offer to assist taking bags upstairs. The hotel was very good value for money - I would stay again.

Despite harsh reviews concerning, decor, maintenance, bed quality etc. We found nothing to complain about. The breakfast was a bonus because Booking.com didn't advertise this. We were accommodated on the GF in one of the 'disabled rooms' (though we are not disabled) perhaps we just arrived late in the day.

Located in Lewiston town centre, Hells Canyon Grand Hotel, an Ascend Hotel Collection Member is 7 minutes’ drive away from Lewis-Clark State College.

The staff at check in was very helpful and courteous. They clearly enjoyed having guests and it showed in their demeanor. We traveled there by motorcycles and the staff offered us good protected parking spaces for our bikes and even said we could use their hose and water bucket if we wanted to wash our bikes (this has NEVER happened before when traveling.) The room, clean and ready for us, with two double beds in the main room and a loft with a third bed was quiet and comfortable and perfect for the three of us guys to rest for the night. Although it seemed like the place was full, we did not hear any other guests through the night. The amenities like the Pool and Jacuzzi were spotlessly clean and refreshing after a day of hot weather riding from western WA. Breakfast had something for everybody and for us was good "road food." The morning staff restocked items as they diminished and no one went without. At checkout we requested the bill be divided into three equal parts and the very nice lady at the counter was happy to accommodate us. The River Tree Inn is a Motor Lodge or Motel, but the high quality service is equal to or better than a 4 star hotel in a large metropolitan city!
