Just a 17-minute walk from National Geographic Imax Theater and 0.9 miles from Yellowstone Historic Center Museum, Alpine #1 features accommodations in West Yellowstone with barbecue facilities. It's like a large mobile home in a quiet area of town, very quiet at night, little local traffic. All the same very centrally located with 1,000 gas stations in the vicinity, four shops, restaurants if you want. The chalet has everything, you can cook or grill and sit outside. It seems to be very well run. We would book again when in the area.

Our family had an amazing time in West Yellowstone.
Our family had an amazing time in West Yellowstone. It was a great place to access Yellowstone Park. Buffalo Bar was a great place for dinner. Food and drinks were exceptional . The Gusher piazza shop had great pizza and was less crowded than other places. We enjoyed walking around this town and taking in the sights. Be sure to take in the Yellowstone flick at the IMax theatre.

The town had some very “western” restaurants, fantastic brisket, and a few reasonable stores. But it was overrun with kitschy t-shirt stores. Kind of low-end. Only a handful of reasonable stores. Nothing in comparison to Jackson Hole where we started our trip.

Great little town that caters to tourists and has a down-home feel. Plenty of hometown food and options. Truly is 1 minute to the main gates of Yellowstone making it a great place to enter the park. In my opinion it's the best place as you can choose to do the Upper Loop of the park or Lower loop easily. Trip from Bozeman took almost 2 hours as mostly 2 lane highways. Great walkability to the town hot spots from pretty much anywhere and fishing in local rivers appeared to be plentiful.

Great location near the national park. Fun restaurants and bars. Try the Buffalo Bar for great bison burgers! Check out Go Go Expresso on Hwy 20 near the Buffalo Bar. It is a cute drive up coffee shop.

I really enjoyed everything about Yellowstone.
I really enjoyed everything about Yellowstone. The west entrance was only a couple miles away from our cabin. There’s a restaurant right across the street. There’s also several restaurants and stores a couple blocks away. We ate breakfast every day at the three Bears restaurant. It was great bc they open at 6am. They have a buffet or you can order from the menu .We got stuck in traffic for a little bit in Yellowstone, bc there was a herd of bison that would not get out of road. I loved it, that is what I wanted to see. There are parts of Yellowstone that are absolutely breathtaking.I was disappointed that I didn’t see any bears.
