Set in Isando, 20 km from Johannesburg, City Lodge Hotel at OR Tambo International Airport boasts an outdoor pool and fitness centre. Every room has a flat-screen TV with satellite channels. The location is perfect since it is within walking distance to the airport terminals. When I checked in, the receptionist was very polite, cheerful and welcoming. I was pleased to be given a room with the most beautiful views of Johannesburg just as I had requested prior to my arrival. The room was excellent and had everything an international traveler would need (including different types of sockets to charge mobile phones or shaving machines). When I checked out, I was pleasantly surprised and grateful that one of the hotel staff (a young porter) carried my luggage and walked with me to Terminal B. A truly wonderful experience!

Southern Sun offers luxury rooms with a contemporary design. It features an outdoor pool, bar area and a buffet restaurant called Bernoulli’s. One of the best stays I’ve ever had considering it’s an airport location specific hotel. The staff were excellent, the room was perfect. The best shower we have ever had in a hotel and the food was amazing.

Nice for overnight stay close to the airport. I arrived quite late and was picked up with no problems and was immediately taken to my room. I had forgotten to ask what time breakfast ends and came 10 minutes after the finish time, but the lady from the kitchen waas very kind to quickly make me some scrambled eggs and what's left of the breakfast items. Check in/check out was a breeze, payment at the property was very convenient, and the shuttle back to the airport runs every hour.

I needed a place to stay for my mother as there was a problem with her international flight, and she will only be flying out the following day. We needed an affordable and comfortable place close to the airport with an airport shuttle service and came across Airport Guest House. Within the quick rush of reserving and paying for the room I phoned the guesthouse to organize the shuttle and Gugulethu immediately assisted. The airport shuttle was able to pick my mom up in only 7 minutes and I was informed by Gugulethu that my mom arrived safely and will be in good hands. Thank you for the friendly and efficient service.

I was ill during my entire stay - serious food poisoning (NOT from this hotel). The bed was super comfortable, it was a very quiet room, they were kind enough to allow me to check in two hours earlier than normally permitted, the airport transfers were just excellent. I didn’t eat anything at the hotel, but they brought me a complimentary large bottle of water to my room. A miserable few hours of sickness in a great hotel. Thank you.
