Everything. The quality of food was amazing. The staff, Mitch and Charlie were great. Charlie was an amazing driver for our games drive! The room perfect. It has been the best lodge of the entire trip.

Makumu Private Game Lodge is situated in Klaserie Private Nature Reserve, 36 km from Kapama Game Reserve. Hoedspruit is 32 km away. Free WiFi is available. The accommodation has a seating area. Me and my partner had the pleasure of staying at Makumu! It was seriously outstanding from start to finish. Here's why we loved it: 1. Unforgettable Experience: Our safari at Makumu was mind-blowing. We got up close with wild animals and learned so much about them. Special mention to our tracker Safari and ranger AD, where you could clearly see his love to the bush and his exceptional talent on understanding the wild animals behaviour and helped us understand the animals better as well as make the experience much better thanks to him. 2. Great Staff: The people at Makumu were incredible. They were not only highly professional but also incredibly warm and friendly. They made us feel like part of their family in just 4 days. We'll never forget our time there, thanks Cherie, Shelley, AD, Ruan, and the rest of the great team. 3. Luxurious Rooms: The lodge itself was like a work of art. The rooms were super comfy and stylish. They created the perfect blend of comfort and immersion in nature. You could tell they put a lot of thought into the design. 4. Culinary Paradise: The food was out of this world! The chef's dishes were tasty and varied, everyday we tried something new. Dining by the fire on the boma under the African stars with animal sounds in the background? Just unforgettable. 5. Top Marks: Seriously, if we could rate everything, it would be a perfect 10. The safaris, the staff, the lodge's vibe, and the food - all exceeded our wildest expectations. Just thanks, we'll be back for sure.

Umlani Bushcamp is a classic African safari camp in Timbavati Private Nature Reserve, part of Greater Kruger National Park. Game drives, bush walks and meals are included in the rate. Every single person at Umlani was warm and welcoming! We felt well cared for the entire time we were there!! The game drivers and trackers are so knowledgeable and engaging; and we were taken out on very small group game drives even though the lodge was not completely booked up and the vehicles could have held more people. The food was first class—every meal!! The grounds are beautiful! We could see elephants right from the lunch area! The highlight of our time was definitely the treehouse where we able to spend not only an overnight but also an afternoon so we could see all the animals during the day!! I wish we could’ve stayed longer and hope to return one day!!!

Kambaku Lodge is located in the heart of Timbavati Nature Reserve and has a waterhole which attracts members of the Big 5. Each of the rooms and chalets feature African décor and a private patio. The safari's were incredible. The atmosphere in the lodge is incredible, just as the frinedliness of the staff.

Situated in the Timbavati Private Nature Reserve, Kambaku River Sands features game drives and bush walks. What. A. Place. There isn’t a rating high enough. The rooms and lodge were beautiful, the rangers and guides were fabulous, animals sighting unbelievable. Staff were exceptional.

This place exceeded our expectations. The staff was wonderful and the safari drives were incredible. We had Herbert as our tracker, and Julian as our game guide. Both fantastic and we saw the Big Five and more. Highlight was seeing the wild dogs. Great to chat to during sundowners and so informative with all the information on the animals. Julian also talked to us about various birds and trees along the way. This was a great addition in between looking for the animals. Molly, Dee and our butler Kevin were all wonderful. I couldn’t recommend this place more honestly. The staff was wonderful and attentive, everything was always extremely clean and the food was incredible. Pretty was the chef when we were there and the food was fantastic. We had the best 4 days we wish we stayed longer. The group dinners were very fun too.

Set in the Klaserie Private Nature Reserve, part of the Kruger National Park, Baobab Ridge features an outdoor pool. It offers private cottages with a furnished terrace. We LOVED our stay!!! The lodge was amazing and very beautiful. I loved hanging out by the pool watching all the different animals visit the watering hole. Our guide, Devine, was very knowledgeable and friendly and made the game drives interesting. It was a lovely and relaxing trip!

Waterbuck Game Lodge Thornybush Nature Reserve is situated in the Southern part of The Thornybush Nature Reserve, adjacent to a water estuary and waterhole. From the moment we arrived until the moment we left, the staff at Waterbuck Game Lodge did everything to make our stay unforgettable. The rooms were gorgeous, with everything one could ask for. The drives were unforgettable, and while of course you cannot really plan on what you’re gonna see, everything in the power was done by our guide Matt and his tracker Solly to find the animals we were hoping to see. To see the beautiful Sengile, and to meet the youngest Avoca daughter, her mom, aunt, her dad and two uncles will be something we shall never forget!

Africa on Foot is located in Klaserie Private Nature Reserve. The rustic-style camp features thatched chalet accommodation, a bar and a viewing deck with splash pool and sun loungers. We loved our stay at Africa on foot. It was a very unique and special stay that I feel very lucky to have experienced. The walking safaris were like any other and very special to see how the guides track animals. Their skill is incredible. All staff were lovely and knowledgeable - from the guides, through to the cooks and maintenance workers. The food was also amazing! I am vegetarian and was extremely happy with the quality of the food I was given. They feed you really well!
