Then we read the notice at the bedside counter, that said as this is autumn, the central aircon has been set to heating not cooling. The notice also very helpfully suggested that we open the windows to cool the room if we find it too warm. So, we did precisely that, and didn't switch on the aircon at all. The room temperature was very comfortable, and we just had to close the window a bit if it felt chilly. The hotel service really looks into every aspect in which guests might need customisation.
