Perfect location just next to Real Mary King's Close,on the Royal Mile. We wouldn't want to stay anywhere else. However, if you are ordering breakfast at Luckenbooths (recommend that you have the residents breakfast which includes a hot dish, a coffee and a juice) avoid the granola. It was 90% granola and 10 % yoghurt, so dry that my mum had to ask for more yoghurt to make it edible, at which point she was offered the smallest portion of yoghurt I have ever seen. Apart from this, everything was perfect and the apartments have a lot of character and are tastefully decorated, very quiet at night too.

On arrival we discovered we had been upgraded. I already thought the break was value for money, so this was the cherry on the cake. Lots of beautiful and techy touches everywhere in the apartment. A little bit of luxury. Loved the Espa toiletries.Underfloor heating in the shower room felt so indulgent and the view was breathtaking. We had an event in the Assembly Rooms on Sunday evening so we were ideally placed for that, but equally near to lots of beautiful shops, bars and cafes. Loved it. Staff, including the cleaners who we chatted to on Sunday, were all lovely too. Highly recommended.

An excellent combination of the advantages of a hotel and apartments. Very clean. It is pleasant to walk barefoot on the carpet. Cute interiors. Well, there are no questions to the staff at all - responsive and friendly. There were tablets for the dishwasher and washing machine, capsules for the coffee machine.
