The location cannot be better! It is quiet, safe yet just a short drive to the beaches, restaurants and Cahuita National Park. We took the great advice from other travelers to stay in Cahuita area rather than Puerto Viejo!! There are great restaurant options in Puerto Viejo but too busy and run down for our liking. We love our stay at Plaza Tucanito where allow us to explore beautiful beaches nearby and plenty of dining options in Cahuita town. Cahuita National Park is definitely a must visit! We went in the morning and saw tons of wildlife and enjoyed the calm and beautiful Playa Blanca! We also enjoyed Playa Grande en Cahuita : )

Overall great place and a great stay highly recommend.

Mary is a beautiful kind person, a great yoga teacher and also a good chef as she cooked us an amazing dinner and breakfast in the jungle; she made our staying a unique experience.

The place was very quiet, between threes and bushes, we even had a sloth on the three next to our place. The place was very clean, and the garbage taken out daily, towels changed every other day. The owner also lives on the property, very helpful.

After 8 days camping in Osa, these was super fantastic chill out place...huge terrace with hammocks, full equiped open air funky kitcheen, best beach of all costarican caribean...owners are freaks, they serve nice food in the evening there is fantastic atmosphere in the bar...strongly reccomended...kids loved the place soooo much and was hard to drag them out of ocean...also nice coral reef with lot of fishes in front

Close to the boats and only 5 min to the nationalpark by foot. We arrived in La Pavona by car (parking 10$/night) and everything is well organized. Boat 1h to Tortuguero (15$/person two ways). We LOVED Budda home. Restaurant was very good, even got a welcome drink. Room very clean, everyday cleaning. Very comfortable bed. The owners and the staff are awesome, very helpful and welcoming! Would come again.
