Residence San Pietro Barisano offers unique apartments set in the Matera Sassi UNESCO site. The apartment is spacious and well equipped, super comfortable given the fact that it's a cave- which definitely adds to its charm. We reached it on foot from the bus station, and although it is a bit of a hike, it is not very tiring by local standards. There is a nice courtyard with a great view just outside the apartments. The breakfast was great and the coffee absolutely excellent. As a bonus, there is also a very cute dog.
