The room felt more like a luxury apartment than anything close to a regular old hotel room. The staff was extremely friendly, the receptionist was fluent in multiple languages, including English, and was of great help. The location is a few minutes walking from a major metro line and there are many stores and temples around, it is also very close to Kyoto Station. The area is very quiet and peaceful but easy to get to. If you're staying in Kyoto for a few days this is a great place to stay at.
