Lovely self catering facilities. We enjoyed a pasta dish we prepared in the electric frying pan which worked out pretty well and was easy to clean. Enjoyed the location and we were able to let our ten year old walk to the four square on his own and Rakiura is the only place on earth that feels safe enough to do that.

Good self catering accommodation right opposite the lake.

Quiet, Clean and Comfortable Room and Bed. Location good easy walk to the Lake front, Shops and Restaurants. Reception and Staff friendly and helpful. The small kitchenette and BBQ great for self catering. Good starting point for a day trip to Milford Sound. Hot Tub was a real treat at the end of the day. Overall Very Good Value Accommodation.

Check-in was perfect. Our room was very spacious, well equipped for self-catering and perfectly located for Queens Park and the city centre. The owners are very friendly and helpful.

Amazing location and views provided a great base for exploring all of the Catlins. A reasonable price for this type of motel accommodation in the area. Well set up for self catering with electric frypan, microwave and hot plate. Beds were comfortable and the unit was very clean and well presented.

Well equipped for self catering. Near to centre. Clean and spacious. Outside seating. Great view though large front windoes of the lake and mountains. Very useful to have the laundry and space to dry washing outside.

A nice property with a garden in front. Plenty of parking and the room was a good size for what was described as a serviced apartment. The kitchen had a microwave and electric frypan. Good value for money and great service

The place gives you a very home-like feeling. Facilities are good, it’s clean and the host is very kind and helpful.

Our room was cosy and close to all the amenities. The parking was perfect and we were within short walking distance from the Humpback Ridge pickup. There was also flexibility around self catering or eating at the cafe. A little mouse did pop into our room when we were out, but we chased it out the door.
