Boasting a terrace with lake views, an indoor pool and a garden, The Retreat can be found in Taupo, close to Great Lake Convention Centre and 35 km from Orakei Korako Cave and Thermal Park. Guests staying at this aparthotel have access to a balcony. The aparthotel features rooms with air conditioning, free private parking and free WiFi. It was a little difficult to find even with the map I brought with me. Should have spent one fewer day in Rotorua, and a second day in Taupo.

It is a 2-minute walk from the town centre and guests have a 5 minute walk to the Lost Spring geothermal pools. Additionally, the property offers discounts at select local restaurants and activities.

Each apartment has a kitchenette. Some have a fully equipped kitchen. Great location and view. Very well equipped

Located directly opposite the harbour and 2 minutes’ walk from Whitianga’s main beach, Esplanade Apartments offers private balconies with views of the swimming pool, harbour or ocean.

Esplanade Apartments Whitianga are located 250 metres from the heart of the town centre. The complex features a swimming pool and a spa pool. Good location and nice apartment with nice view. Very kind and helpful host.

Sovereign Pier On The Waterways offers luxury waterfront accommodation with kitchen facilities and a private balcony with stunning views. Guests have access to a private marina and a swimming pool with hot tub. Free WiFi is included. We loved the size of the villa, the decor, the pool and spa as well as the gym and having a car garage was an added bonus. The kitchen was well equipped and having a washer and drier was helpful.

Situated on a picturesque rose garden, Phoenix Thermal Resort - Taupo is 2 minutes' walk from Lake Taupo and 20 minutes' walk from Taupo City Centre. It is 2.7 km from Taupo Airport.

Located alongside the lovely Lake Taupo, Braxmere Lodge offers accommodation with a patio and lake views.

Each air-conditioned unit has a kitchenette with a microwave and stovetop. The seating area has a flat-screen TV. Wonderful cottage right at the lake. Modern bathroom and comfortable beds. Well equipped kitchen. Big bonus is the provided BBQ. Next town with a big supermarket is only 8 minutes by car. There you find also a few restaurants (reservation is recommend). Restaurant right next to the cottage is closed at the moment, but that’s alright. Some people said it’s hard to find, but if you are ok driving a little off the main road, and you can read signs you will definitely find it 😉

All apartments include a flat-screen TV. Each apartment has a microwave and refrigerator. Location was excellent. Close to town for restaurants and shopping. Beautiful boardwalk across the street for a walk along the beach in the morning.
