Lovely view. Amazing to sit outside in the garden and to watch the world go by. Clean property. Regular bus with a stop close by. Fantastic access to Locarno and Ascona. Would definitely stay again! The couple who own the place are really helpful.

Rita and Giuseppe are truly exceptional hosts—warm, welcoming, and incredibly attentive. Their hospitality is second to none, combining professionalism with genuine care. The hotel’s location is superb, just a few meters from the lake and surrounded by shops, cafés, restaurants, a supermarket, and a pharmacy. It’s also within walking distance (about 3.5 km) from Locarno. The village itself offers a wonderfully relaxing ambiance, making it an ideal place to unwind. Breakfast is elegant and delicious, featuring fresh seasonal fruits and a thoughtful selection of options. The host is super. The house was real house, not a cheap made B&B house for rent. I respect the works they put in the house. The view was spectacular. The location is just wonderful in a small town above Locarno. They have parks, and a grocery store where they sell fresh pastry. There are cafes and reasonable restaurants in the area, too. Our kids went crazy using buses and cable cars to go back and forth between the Locarno city centre and the lake. Thank you!

Everything. Our hosts went out of their way to be welcoming, friendly and to cater for our needs as travellers. They took their time to carefully explain everything we needed to know about the accomodation and tips for the town including maps. They always greeted us with warmth. The location was excellent in the old town and close to everything without being too busy.

It is a self-contained island of greenery (nice big garden) and quiet, with lots of things for a 5-person family to do and a lovely atmosphere. The team running the Villa were super friendly and supportive - our daughter needs to eat gluten free food and they helped us by ensuring fresh gluten free bread every day in the morning for her and once even baked a special cake. Our energetic two year old could run in the garden, play with the toys from the toy collection and enjoy the sandbox, which kept him busy and us as relaxed as possible... The fully equipped kitchen gave us the freedom to cook as we needed to. And the option to use the bicycles with a baby seat was just great. Would gladly go back for another stay.

    The apartment has a lovely garden and view to the lake. The hosts were nice and the apartment was clean. The kitchen is equipped with everything you need. The bus station is next to the apartment. There is no a specific parking spot, but there are always free spots in the blue zone where you can leave your car for longer time with the visitor card.

    It is a great place to relax, enjoy the beautiful view on the terrace or having a swim in the pool in the garden. The apartment is really nicely furnished and the host Marco really cares about offering you a pleasant and relaxing stay in the Casa Sonora. I spend lovely days here and I can highly recommend this place.
