Breakfast, which was lovely was delivered to our room. Walk to town was about 15 minutes, however, the uphill return to the unit was tiring (particularly if one is unfit!! ). Very spacious unit and well equipped for short or long stays. Street car parking right outside units. Outdoor seating area is semi-private. Loved that they were able to take care of our laundry needs at a reasonable cost. Close to Therma the hot springs town where we had a great lunch of fresh fish and greens at the Avra Taverna. Enjoyed live music entertainment by Accubra Cocos in Ag Kirikos at one of the bars. Overall an enjoyable 3 night stay.

The place is really nice, with a wonderful view. It is clean and cozy. The hosts are friendly and helpful. We found very useful the host can offer a rent a car on a reasonable price, since on the Ikaria you will need it :) Thank you very much!

I have come to Kerame with my family and also twice with my children (now 3.5 and 7.5 years old) we love Ikaria and we love Kerame. It is a perfect family hotel (watch the steps though!) with pool and terraces off the room. The staff are so kind. Great breakfast and very good food in the little terrace that we can eat on our terrace (big bonus with small kids) we will come back every year! Love from Syros!

We are currently staying in Karavostamo but fancied a change of scenery. I had holidayed in Greece for 21 of the 26 years together, but recently my partner died and I have found it difficult to settle this year. The Mesaktis Rooms were exactly what I needed. A beautiful tranquil setting, our terrace looked down on to a small lagoon. The owners gave me and my friend homemade lemonade and the most delicious homegrown figs, which we consumed whilst overlooking the lagoon, which was home to over 30 turtles! We were given bread with which to feed them. What a sight to feast your eyes on while we drank our delicious lemonade! The accommodation is rustic, it’s not luxurious, but it’s what we both loved about this place. There are tavernas beds are comfortable and the kitchen has everything you need to make a simple meal. There are tavernas maybe 5 minutes walk away, a mini market next door, and over the road there is probably the best beach on Ikaria - Mesaktis beach. At the far end is a lagoon in which you can see even more turtles! The hosts, as you may have picked up on, were so generous and warm. I miss the place, the kittens and Sadi the dog already. This has been the standout experience so far of this 3 week Greek island hopping trip. I absolutely loved it, and it helped me along in my grief journey. To the owners: thank you for your hospitality, for letting me leave the car on your premises after we had checked out, and sorry for taking the room key!

    Nice studio, comfortable bed. Good air conditioning. Very close to the beach, that might be the best part about the apartment, so close to the beach. Good WiFi also. Got a cleaning half way through our stay which was good. There was beach towels provided which was convenient. Nice place for a short stay. Small kitchenette was fine but if you wanted to make larger meals might not be suitable. Nice gyros shop downstairs that we went to once.

    Beautiful stone built complex with traditional feel to the rooms. Host was very welcoming, helpful and efficient. The apartment we had was spacious, light and nicely furnished. Bed was really comfortable. Air con and WiFi good. Kitchen was fine. Pool area was lovely. Great views.
