A beautiful and spacious house not far from the port to Naoshima. The host picked us up at the train station and took us back there at the end of our stay - exceptional service. The house was retro, perfectly presented and had two large bedrooms with both western and tatami beds. The hosts kindly set up a cot and put a child seat on an e-bike to accommodate the child in our group. Free bikes (3 e-bikes and regular pedal bikes) were available in the shed. Local udon and sushi restaurants were great. It’s a short cycle to the port to the art islands and we were able to take the bikes on the ferry to explore the islands. Recommend for a home-like stay. Thank you for your fantastic hospitality!

I would highly recommend this stay to anyone visiting Uno or the nearby art islands. The host was incredibly attentive both ahead of our visit and during - sharing helpful recommendations. The space was super cool with beautiful fittings, comfy beddings and towels, delicious coffee, smart tv and overall very relaxing. The l location was perfect for getting about town too with lots of restaurants and cafes within easy walking distance

The big house is furnished with love and creativity. The hosts are very kind and helpful. Excellent location. In walking distance to Miyanoura ferry port, restaurants, supermarket and 100 meters to the beach.

It was a nice Japanese style house, comfortable and beautiful, with all the necessary items like kitchen, laundry machine and a new bathroom (beautifully designed and equipped). Our stay was comfortable and cozy! We were lucky to find it!! Thank you Lisa!

We slept in apartment number 3, which was pretty big. Great design of the house and furnitures! Good location - quiet small street, near was cafe with bakery and restaurants, close to the stations and ferries to islands. Thank you for very good cookies, coffee and tea and water!

I loved how quiet the neighborhood was. The house itself was kept beautiful and it was a great experience of traditional housing with a lovely view onto the small river (there were some big koi fish and little terrapins you could see too!)

It's a pity we could only stay one night! Staying in such big, old house was one of our best experiences in Japan, something very unique and memorable. It also had everything we needed, so the stay was both interesting and comfortable. We had a lot of fun just looking around and admiring beautiful stuff placed in the house, such as mesmerizing kimono and even a koto. The area around the house was also very picturesque. But what really highlited our stay, was the hospitality of the host, Mr. Hideo. Not only has he waited for us at the bus stop, but also showed us around, introduced us to local cuisine, took us up the mountain to let us see the breathtaking nightview and much more. All of us had a really good chat, which felt as if the language barrier didn't exist at all. Google translate is really convenient! We also participated in tea ceremony he prepared just for us, which let us experience Japanese culture even more. Mr Hideo's great help and hospitality was something we did not expect but what really made our stay memorable. The night in this house became our precious memory and we highly recommend you to give it a try too!!
