If the lights fails ir the water, isn't problem of the hotel, it's the reality of the little island, but it's all ok.

This hotel is absolutely lovely, so very beautifully decorated, and just a 5-minute walk from the beach. The hosts are incredibly kind and welcoming, making the stay even more enjoyable. The room was very comfortable, with the bonus of hot water! There are also great spots within the hotel to relax and unwind, because the hotel in itself is super beautiful. Highly recommended!

Odair and Mize were super-helpful with our last-minute booking as our original booking with Wave Maze was a farce. Fantastic location with pool and private cove, very clean, spacious. Situated in Calheta Do Maio in the Maio region, Relaxing Blue Flat near beach! has a patio and quiet street views. The Praia de Ponta Preta is within 2.5 km of the apartment. Free WiFi is available throughout the property and Biche Rocha Beach is 700 metres away. This property is exceptionally well located and well-equipped for a short or even longer-term stay! The apartment is decorated beautifully and has all the amenities you could possibly need. Isolinda was extremely responsive and check in and check out was extremely smooth.

Mona and Christophe have worked so hard to create a beautiful space for an exceptional travel experience. It's very close to a secluded beach where you can relax and have some alone time, as well as see the incredible turtles (with Christophe as your guide). I was taught upon arrival how to take a 'bulea' (free ride) with the locals, so very easy (and safe for solo female travellers) to catch a lift to the next town. The accommodation is exceptional in itself and is well thought out with sustainability in mind and furnished beautifully. They both shared their story over delicious dinners (thank you, Mona) about their journey in building Barracudamaio, and I think it's such a beautiful way to live and to help travellers understand the integrity behind creating a sustainable and welcoming space like theirs. Mona and Christophe are such wonderful people with a lot of life experience, and I am so glad to have had the chance to meet them on my travels. Oh and I love their two dogs, Lulu and Irmã. I am returning for my second stay next week - looking forward to seeing them all again! :)
