The light show at Abu Simbel temple is amazing and unforgettable. Ramadan can also organise a boat trip if you want, he is an amazing host and guide, he helps you with anything you need and want to do. We received free transportation to the temple and he also helped us to get a private ride to Aswan in a a very good price. The apartment is very comfortable and clean, the bed and pillows too. It is a shame so many tours just come to see the temples for the morning before returning to Aswan, as they miss out the wonderful, calm atmosphere here. We highly recommend to stay here! After a somewhat hectic and chaotic time Cairo, the slower paced and more nature-based scenery of Aswan, especially on Elephantine Island, was such a welcome change. The place is a bit hidden but has beautiful views across the Nile of Aswan, which is especially stunning at night. Yasin was a great host who picked me up by boat to take me to Awi House and also helped me with booking trips such as Philae Temple and a day trip to Abu Simbel, and Ahmed dropped me off by boat at the end of my stay. Overall I would definitely stay here again!

It’s a good choice if you just want to spend one night to fully enjoy Abu Simbel. The apartment is in a quiet place near the downtown area and the temple, easy to buy stuffs in the market or go to local restaurant. Osama also offers a good local breakfast at the time of your request. BTW the market owned by an old couple near the apartment has fair price for water and food.

The homestay owner is incredibly warm and welcoming. As soon as we arrived, two people came to help us carry our luggage, both with big smiles. The house is very spacious and beautifully maintained. Upon arrival, we were treated to a large plate of snacks, including pastries similar to mung bean cakes and pineapple cakes, which were absolutely delicious. The refrigerator was also fully stocked with four large bottles of water and juice, and we enjoyed everything very much. They provide help with anything you might need, and the level of care and hospitality is outstanding in every way. Breakfast was very rich and generous, and the best part was the fried eggs — fragrant and perfectly cooked. When I complimented the owner on how good they were, he immediately asked if I would like more. The service truly felt like being cared for by family, which made us feel extremely happy and comfortable. This place is perfect for visiting Abu Simbel. I highly recommend staying here for one night over two days so you won’t feel rushed or exhausted. The homestay is only a 10-plus minute walk to the temples, very convenient. There is also an ATM right at the corner, which was extremely helpful when we needed to exchange USD for Egyptian pounds. They also fully assisted with luggage storage, and every need we had during our stay was handled with great care. We were completely satisfied with everything here. The outside was very ugly but the inside was very modern. I loved the TV and the wi-fi was AMAZING😁 plenty of space and beds. The view is amazing! Dislike: the owner can improve the cleaning.
