Only a small walk form the station, the apartment was what I expected for the fee and in the Japanese environment (clean, well designed, light and fresh). I have stayed in many places over the years I have been travelling to Japan. There are a number of Family Mart shops for daily stocks and a street food shop before reaching the ReLA location too. Security was excellent. Working in IT Security, I know full well the pitfalls of poor security, especially digital door access codes. When I arrived at reception (Digital Automated), it was very useful to have access to free WiFi to retrieve my email with all the information for the booking. I had been travelling for over 24 hours, therefore I was not prepared to wade through any pre-printed documentation I had prepared for myself. In the apartment itself, cooking and eating requirements were all catered for, except no cups for tea. Showering/bathing, wet room was of exception standard and plenty of room (I am 1.88 cm, 6'2"). Even towels, body wash, and hair wash were provided. Good water pressure too. There was plenty of space and chairs to relax and invite guests or watch TV if you preferred. Lighting was ambient and very adjustable. The beds were difficult to get out of in the morning, as they were way too comfortable. I slept well every night, there was little street noise from busy Kashiwa. From my 4th floor location, I also had a great view day and night of that part of Kashiwa, from a modest veranda.

It had this traditional feel to it, but also had newly renovated kitchen, bath and even a small sauna! There was more than enough space for 6 adults, all of the necessary amenities, kitchen tools and tableware. The hosts were also super nice. We used the barbecue in the shed to cook tasty burgers.

The accommodation was immaculately maintained, making my stay very comfortable and hassle-free. I especially enjoyed the picturesque trails adorned with flowers and trees, which lead directly to the beach. Walking to the supermarket along these lovely paths and the nearby shore—a pleasant 15-minute stroll—was a highlight of my trip. For anyone seeking a peaceful retreat outside of Tokyo, I wholeheartedly recommend this place!
