Offering a barbecue and sun terrace, Sigiriya Water Cottage is set in Sigiriya, 3.4 km from Sigiriya Rock. Guests can enjoy the on-site restaurant. We loved everything about this place. We booked the new family room with private pool. Its very generous in size, very clean and the pool is great. The room is perfectly equipped for a family stay. Breakfast was great too. We had a great time staying here and will be back next time we visit Sri Lanka.

Everything was very clean, comfortable and quiet. The interior looked good and was well designed, the bathroom door and the facilities. Also it is well situated next to Cargills Supermarket and in short walking distance from the bus stop. The value for money really is very good at this property! The staff is outstanding and they even made me an amazing vegan breakfast. I can highly recommend having a stay here.

We had a wonderful time at the cabin. The view of the Lion Rock is fantastic! The cabin was perfect for us:) Peter called me when we arrived and explained all ins and outs of the area and gave us some great advice. He was happy to answer any of our questions any time of the day. The cabin with its garden are very private and amazing for some wildlife spotting. Our kids loved it. There is also a wood-fired pizza oven in the garden. Sumith put the fire on for us and Raja swiftly organised and delivered yeast and flour from the local bakery for our pizza baking experience:) We all had a lot of fun kneading the dough and baking pizza in a real outdoor pizza oven! It was delicious:). We used bicycles provided free of charge, washing machine and there is a drinking water dispenser in the cabin, so no need to buy bottled water:) We loved seeing wild chickens coming to the garden and peacocks were always a good entertainment for the kids;) Sumith brought us, freshly picked from the garden, jackfruit to try;)

It’s close to the main road but also a bit in the village so you can chat with friendly folks and see a bit of real life. The host is very genuine and generous, his cooking is good, the outdoor kitchen is a great place for breakfast or take a cooking class. A quality place in Sigiriya.

The room is very clean and comfortable. We stayed for two nights and each morning the owner would’ve prepared breakfast which he bought from local people and restaurants in the area. We had e.g. hoppers, omelets, pancakes with brown sugar, coconut rotti, fruits, etc. The owner also helped with a tuktuk to Dambulla, and he had a little shed to park our scooters overnight. Everything was perfect :)

A freshly built tree house in deep jungle off the main road, we traveled with a bike so it's location wasn't a problem for us. It is apart of a Sri Lankan home but a bit away from the main house. Quiet at night. Big and comfortable room with 2 double beds. Spacious bathroom. Loved the place! Highly recommended!
