We initially booked AHAVAH just because we had an early morning boat tour nearby, but the room was so comfortable and the hosts so welcoming that I wish we could have stayed longer. Ashley was super responsive and helpful from the moment I made the booking, and his entire family is friendly and welcoming. The homemade breakfast was top notch, and they were kind enough to prepare it early so that we could enjoy it before heading out on the boat tour. The facilities were clean and we had everything we could have needed, including a washing machine, mosquito repellent for night (definitely needed), and good wifi. Highly recommend!

Lovely apartment - modern, tastefully decorated throughout, and spotlessly clean! Everything was very well thought through. Balcony was great and beautiful garden. Right in the centre of the village and 1 min walk to local supermarkets. A few good restaurants within walking distance too. The host Kerstin was friendly and kind. Would definitely recommend if you're looking to stay in this area.

The owners of the property were lovely and very helpful with all the information and the questions asked. They brought us amazing breakfast even if it was not included and pay as much attention as needed. The apartment was perfect and very clean. They made our stay perfect. For sure is a place that I would recommend to my friend and family.

Marise the owner is an absolute gem of a human. You will have an experience of your life time at the Artist house east which has unique, creative and priceless energy of its own. from every detail of the tiny home itself, the beautiful back windows and fully sliding front windows providing an indoor outdoor vibe, the open deck allows you to watch variety of enchanting birds coming to visit, to its charming and considered furniture, artwork, bedding, towels..everything is both aesthetic and extremely functional, you will have stepped into pure magic and be missing nothing. Not to mention private access to the beach steps away allows you to watch the jaw dropping sunrise each morning..and the unique feature of this long mostly private stretch of beach allows you to watch the sunset at the other end as well. You are also close to Bel mar and easy access to Ile aux cerf which are easily the best beaches in the whole of Mauritius. Also close proximity to Trou d'Eau Douce town is extremly convient for trying variety of food, getting grocieriee and banking. During my stay i initially booked 6 nights but then decided to scooter for 3 hours across the country so I can come back and end my trip for the last 3 nights here. Staying here, makes you feel protected and safe for a solo female traveller. A complete nervous system reset. It was an absolute blessing and privilege to meet Marise, who went above and beyond and took care of me better than my own mother. She thinks of every detail and truly cares about her guests. When I arrived, everything was perfection, fruit from her garden, prepared coconut and food ready. I really wish I could have done something to repay her but her generosity is from her heart. her husband Arvey is also an extremely lovey man, who told me stories of his travels, they also got gas for my scooter because I was on my own. However if you want more privacy they are really good about respecting your space as well.
