Great clean, and well maintained apartment, air conditioned, hot water, shower, refrigerator, electric stove and microwave. Couch to take a break when it gets warm out (or a nap - it’s a pull out). And a comfortable and firm mattress after a day of adventuring. Host was very accommodating, checked in periodically (mostly to ask if anything needs refreshing - towels, water, etc), but totally respected your privacy. Walkable distance to the market (for food and shopping). The mornings are gentle around this area. You could enjoy a nice cup of coffee while watching people play checkers. Afternoons are filled with the aroma of food vendors around and lots of choices to try. Evening are made to indulge in delicious ice cream from one of the many shops around while you enjoy a stroll around La Plaza Principal, filled with people living their best life after a hard days work. I’m a dog person and seeing all the dogs roaming around was a nice treat La Piedad has; oh and no, you will not hear dogs barking all night - they work hard all day too to get those treats.
