Located in Ohakune at the foothills of Mt Ruapehu, Rocky Mountain Chalets Ohakune provides home away from home accommodation with own parking and decks plus private in room free Wi-Fi with smart TV's. Some chalets have mountain views. We have a 16 person meeting room, access to 3 deep soak hot tubs, infrared sauna and a vending machine for drinks and snacks plus a Bike washing station. Clean, tidy and had all the essential facilities. We stayed here for 2 nights to complete the tongariro alpine crossing. The spa pool and sauna is a must try after a long hiking stay.

They are thoughtful, responsive, provide you with whatever you need The room was wonderful and comfortable with glorious views. When we had an early morning, Mazz provided us with an amazing lunch for our hike. When we arrived, we were provided with proper tea and biscuits on the deck over the stream and garden. The breakfast was excellent and deluxe. We felt so spoiled with many options and china, linens, and plenty When I lost my camera, Mazz went out of her way to help me retrieve it by calling the park office and others. Calling every possible option. Above the call of duty.. Simon has wonderful stories and they are both brilliantly funny. We felt very at home and cared for They are the kindest hosts. We look forward to staying again
