The camp and the communication (email and whatsapp) was excellent. I would recommend driving to Bidiya and parking a rental car and getting the escort service to the camp. The Ameer tent is amazing and comfortable, the staff promptly took care of an insect situation which arose and allowed us use of another room if required which was a great gesture. The food is exceptional especially the buffet dinner which is a very high standard. Stargazing in the night was also a welcomed surprise.

Amazing location in a valley (wadi) right next to the dunes. Really off the beaten track. I had a little trouble getting up the first hill in my 4WD but let down your tyres to half pressure and take it at a reasonable speed. About 60 seconds of deflation should do it. Driving up the road to get there on the sand is an experience in itself.

- highly recommend booking the desert drive for 30 OMR (per car), this included the transfer to/from the camp from the parking lot. The drive to the camp includes a serious uphill section, a cheap 4x4 rental got stuck several and couldn't make it. The desert drive is lots of fun, the driver will drive to 2 viewpoints (for sunset) with fun dune driving in between.

Great experience staying in the desert. Really comfy and clean tent to sleep in. Camp was based near the top of the dunes which enabled great sunset/rise views. Able to go dune bashing or camel riding at a cost. Meeting point and tyre deflation for desert driving organised well and efficient.

We had a great time at Moon Light. It is located in a nice location, a bit higher and away from the other camps. The staff is great and is dedicated to making your stay there one to remember.
