We could rent scooters there, booked our Lan Ha Bay Boattrip (highly recommend) and they always offered us very good breakfast & dinner. The room was like expected and clean. The location of the hotel is great, only 5 walking minutes from the beach. The hotel also offers free taxi into the main city. There is some construction going on in the neighbourhood, but as we were out all day anyway, we didn’t see/hear much of it.

Viet Hai Village was in the middle of beautiful mountains and Lan Homestay was extremely clean and comfortable. Hái and Chilli were both very helpful with transportation accommodations so getting there was extremely easy. We did the sunset tour, hiked through Cat Ba National Park, and hiked to Navy peak. The views at Navy peak were phenomenal and the hike through the park was challenging and fun (if you like scrambles)
