This is not a 10-for-style place. The rooms are fairly basic. But this is Gavdos. An island which is largely closed…especially in May. But this place is the shining light. Lovely welcome. Maria is simply extraordinary…manager…waitress…builder…painter…taxi-driver…etc etc…whilst her lovely Mum looks after the kitchen.

We had an incredibly comfortable stay in Gavdos, made even better by the warm and friendly owners. Our visit was brief, just two nights with our young children (both under 5), but it left a lasting impression. Unfortunately, one of our daughters fell ill on the second night, which meant we couldn't fully enjoy everything the property had to offer. However, the owners were exceptionally helpful and supportive during this time, which made all the difference. We highly recommend this place for a relaxing and welcoming experience.

This was a perfect stay in every aspect. George's attention to detail, comfort, help, food, dring and information knows no limit. We all felt embraced by the heavenly feeling that this wonderful place draped us in. We've also used the place for astrophotography - another field where George went out of his way to assist us.

We only stayed for a couple of nights, but it was the perfect balm for our souls, especially when our little one came down with gastroenteritis, and I, in turn, caught the bug. This gem is nestled right on the edge of the forest, with a trail leading directly to Ampelos beach. Imagine stepping out your door and into a hiking adventure that ends with your toes in the sand. The view? Spectacular. You're treated to a panoramic vista of the sea and the island, soaking in those authentic Aegean vibes. If we ever return to Gavdos, this spot is non-negotiable. Very convenient situation only a short walk down the sand dunes to the beautiful beach. Bus at the gate. The lady in the reception was exceptionally helpful and knowledgeable about the island.
