Very friendly and welcoming staff. The villa and rooms are very clean. The pool area is very relaxing and super clean, which you dont always see in the areas hotels. Breakfast is great and big! A bit outside Galle center but easy and cheap to move around with tuktuk. Location is nice because there is no big streets nearby so its quiet and peaceful.

Everything was perfect. The family was amazingly hospitable. Way above and beyond our expectations. The room was spotlessly clean. Super comfortable beds, the place was just awesome! We were leaving at 6am, the hostess made sure we had a cup of coffee before we left. Cannot find fault with anything. I would highly recommend Silver rail to everyone. Everything, even the rain and wind. It was very cosy both in the room and the restaurant when the weather stormed outside. Indika was very welcoming and helpful, and we learned so much about Sri Lanka from him. The food they made for us was excellent and gluten free, very good value for money. It is easy and fun to take the local bus outside the door, to Galle, Unawatuna and Hikkaduwa.

Aroshina and her family were incredibly friendly and took us in like their own. We were offered tea or coffee at multiple occasions during the day. We cooked with Aroshina and learned all about the Sri Lankan cuisine which was very helpful for the rest of our travels and it was the best curry I‘ve had since. Aroshina is a super hard-working mom and host, she does everything to make you feel at home. 10/10 recommend!!
