Set in Porto Novo in the Santo Antao region, Vila Babosa has a garden. This beachfront property offers access to a terrace, free private parking and free WiFi. The pool features a fence and sea views.... We were met by Lieve at the Ferry Terminal, she arranged a rental car and guided us to the villa (10 minutes from the Ferry Terminal). Lieve and Geert went out of there way to make our stay as comfortable as possibe. The Villa has been built by them with an eye for detail. The villa is very spacious, 3 spacious bedrooms, each with a toilet/bath room, in two of these rooms next to the double beds bunkbeds for two kids. In living room an additional seperate toilet on top. Also a spacious kitchen with everything you need. The swimming pool is covered every evening so it stays warm (28 Celsius). Very important in winter months, we were at some other places where swimming was only for the brave (24 C) or even unbarable (20 C).

The appt is really huge - 3 bedrooms, spacious dining room, kitchen. The kitchen is fully equipped with all the tableware and cookware. However, the shops in Ponta do Sol are really tiny, so if you're travelling by car I'd suggest to do your grocery shopping in bigger villages (e.g. we've found a relatively big shop in Ribeira Grande) or even before departing Mindelo, especially if you want to purchase alcohol. Anyway, if you don't want to cook yourself, there are several cafes/restaurants nearby, but I suggest to book the place for dinner in advance, as the best places are fully booked. Good wi-fi, plenty of parking place on the street nearby, key is left in the locker box, so you don't have to worry about time of arrival. The host is very sweet and helpful - she has sent all the precise instructions on whatsapp in advance and it was very easy to contact her anytime.

Boasting a garden, private pool and sea views, Chambre indépendante is situated in Porto Novo. This beachfront property offers access to free WiFi and free private parking. Nice place to stay. Like a little paradise. Isa was always making sure that everything was going well and even made sure to book all the activities for us. Really good food as well.

Really sweet and accommodating hosts, the setting is otherworldly, it really feels like being on a different planet being surrounded by such a volcanic landscape. Peaceful sunrises with the singing sound of a couple buzzing bees and incredible sunsets, not to mention the night sky filled with stars. The house itself, situated just outside of Porto Novo, is beautiful and cosy too. The beach is right at the bottom and you can walk to the center by it.  We immediately booked another night here for our return to Porto Novo.

Pedra de Rala is located on the beachfront in Porto Novo. Both free WiFi and parking on-site are available at the guest house free of charge. Local cozy place with authentical charme. Perfect if you have a ferry really in the morning, since closed to the port. The owner was extremely kind and helpful!

Cap-Azul is situated in Porto Novo. This bed and breakfast has a pool with a view, a garden and free private parking. The bed and breakfast features family rooms. very nice property, great pool quiet location fantastic views, friendly welcome.

Located in Porto Novo in the Santo Antao region, Casa Madeira features a patio. This beachfront property offers access to a terrace, free private parking and free WiFi. Very nice place, clean, quiet and close to the beach. Good strategic spot for exploring west side of island. I would definitely go back there.

Set in Seladinha, Pousada Cantinho de Preta features a bar. Featuring a shared kitchen, this property also provides guests with a picnic area. The accommodation exactly as in pictures, 10/1 Mbps wifi, the host spoke great English, and the dinner was very very tasty.
