Tranquility No 42 Port Haverigg Marina, a property with a garden and a bar, is located in Millom, 42 km from Lake Windermere, 43 km from Wasdale, as well as 49 km from Scafell Pike. The location was excellent, we had a lovely view of the ocean and it was very accessible by car. The holiday home is warm, cosy and well-equipped to meet needs. The hosts were very welcoming and friendly, would definitely return again if I'm in the area.

Received directions and lockbox pin code almost instantly, was able to store my pedal bike on the patio, the caravan was spotlessly clean and the wifi was fast, theirs a Smart TV with free view, I used it to watch YouTube, appliances were easy to use, fresh milk of my choice was waiting in the fridge along with quality biscuits, the place is scenic, I was able to get fresh sea air whilst I rode my bike around the coastal path, exactly what I was after for a overnight static caravan stay.

Boasting accommodation with a pool with a view, lake view and a patio, Marina Boathouse, lake windermere lets is situated in Bowness-on-Windermere. The location was lovely. All facilities were great. The boathouse was perfect for relaxing and also as a base for exploring the area.

Westcliff is a beachfront property situated in Seascale, 700 metres from Seascale Beach and 10 km from Muncaster Castle. Such a gorgeous view, even better than hoped for and lovely place. The friendliest host. Wish we could have stayed longer. The surrounding is also quite interesting to explore.

Located in Whitehaven and only 30 km from Wasdale, Croft Hill Guest House provides accommodation with sea views, free WiFi and free private parking. Had plenty of character and felt like home. Very very quiet which is what we were looking for as in countryside away from busy traffic. Lovely breakfast. Very clean and tidy. Staff very friendly.

Situated in St Bees, within 24 km of Wasdale and 24 km of Muncaster Castle, Lulus features accommodation with a garden as well as free private parking for guests who drive. Comfortable and well-appointed room with everything I needed, great location for my needs but also close to the beach and village centre. The host was really friendly and relaxed. Self-service continental breakfast was varied and plentiful.

Facing the seafront, The Ship Inn is a bed and breakfast featuring a 3-star accommodation in Bardsea. It has a garden, bar and parking on-site. I booked a couple of nights at The Ship to take some time out to myself and get away from my day to day routine. What a great little, local pub in a lovely, quiet area of the Lakes. I was made to feel like a local as soon as I arrived. I was introduced to staff, locals and was asked to join others in drinks, food and conversation. It was like being at my own local pub. So much so, that I was convinced to stay an additional night which was no bother to the owners/staff and was made to feel even more welcome. Great beers, lovely, home cooked food and a friendly, warm welcome. I couldn’t have asked for more. I’m already looking into when I can next visit.

Set in Bowness-on-Windermere, within 1.1 km of World of Beatrix Potter and 37 km of Derwentwater Lake, Stockghyll Cottage offers accommodation with a private beach area and free WiFi as well as free... A lovely cottage run by the very pleasant Adrian and Heather. It's only a 10 minute walk to Bowness and the Windermere Jetty Museum is right across the road. I would stay there again.
