The apartment was in a fantastic location in town - a short walk from the one small grocery store, a restaurant, and a waterfall. It was also an easy drive to all the amazing sights in the Snaefellsnes Peninsula. The kitchen and bathroom were recently updated. The kitchen has all you might need to cook - including an ample supply of spices and oils to use. All in all this was an amazing place to stay for our first two nights in Iceland.

Really can’t explain the location, it’s incredible!

A lot of kitchenwear, incl a good coffee machine, CDs, books, etc. The deck on the ocean is beautiful, at high tide we were regularly visited by a couole of Grey seals, but it was a nice spot to look at birds (Eiders with chicks, Artic terns, various gulls incl glaucous, redshank, starling, etc etc). The position is great to visit the central/western part of the peninsula.

It was just amazing stay with an awesome view. The apartment was spacious, bright, comfortable, warm and we enjoyed it a lot! I really recommend it

Located along the coastline, Við Hafið Guesthouse offers accommodation in Ólafsvík. Guests can benefit from free WiFi. Rooms feature either a view of the sea or mountains. Everything was perfect. First, the kitchen was absolutely neat and ordered. It was like a home's one. Also the staff was so kind. And the location is the center of Olafsvik. The laundry fee was so cheap in spite of very good laundry machine. I've never washed my laundry by hot water except here. And I could dry my laundry about 2 hours. Even I could use it for free because the card reader was out of order. They could ask me to pay by cash. (Of course, I didn't have any cash during stay in Iceland.) All things seemed to be considered for guests. And very fortunately I stayed alone in a 8-beds room. The day I stayed was seemd that guest was just me. Regardless of that, the staff did her best. Thank u so much. I really hope the guesthouse will be crowded by so many guests. Because when I visit Iceland again, I will definitely stay there again. I felt it was kind of my hometown. I stayed in Helisandur on the next day(yesterday) and I am leaving from Iceland today. I am very sorry I can't stay more there. Thank you so much. The guesthouse should be prospered.

Set in the quiet countryside of the Snæfellsnes Peninsula, this family-run guest house is 45 minutes’ drive from Stykkishólmur town centre. Great staff at check-in, and the room was fantastic with a chance to see the Northern Lights. Breakfast was included, making our stay even better after a long drive!
