You’re close to everything central to Barranco. You’re staying above Augusto’s home so I felt very secure/safe. You get keys so you can come and go as you please. The place is spacious and has everything you need. I didn’t mind not having a kitchen—the fridge and microwave and water kettle are more than some other places. There was also a heater in each room which was appreciated as someone who runs cold and a hair dryer in the bathroom! The shower got hot quick. The breakfast was great. Augusto is a wonderful host, prompt to reply to messages and kind. He helped me with my heavy bag up and down the stairs. I will absolutely look to stay here again if I’m ever in Lima—and recommend it to folks coming. I stayed at a hotel in Miraflores when I first arrived and El Refugio was much better. Great location, spacious room with comfy beds. The staff were attentive and very friendly. The breakfast was delicious. We were accommodated with early check out and a to-go breakfast.
