The bungalow is up to date, spotless, well-screened with windows on three sides, with good, quiet A/C, a comfortable bed and lounger, a well-equipped kitchen, and a lovely lanai with dining table and chairs overlooking the garden. Harold is an exemplary host! We really enjoyed talking with him and hanging out with him for a morning on his boat. He knows Moorea as well as anyone, and can take you to all the good places. Also, the dog Reef took great care of us too. Just awesome. Harold set us up with bikes for our visit, which we used to get to the ATM and public beach a bit less than a mile away. The little store just a quick walk up the small road is a gem, where you can get pretty much everything you might need. Restaurants on Moorea are expensive so we appreciated being able to prepare meals chez nous.

Situated in Moorea, less than 1 km from Papetoai Beach and 20 km from Moorea Green Pearl Golf Course, La Maison Orange offers a garden and air conditioning. Wow! Maison Orange exceeded all my expectations. It was spacious, clean, I could use the washing machine, there is a big kitchen to use, the room has a great size,… huge terrace - the location is perfect - very close to beach by the hotel Tipaniers where you can rent a kayak, go scuba diving, take excursions,… If I come back (which I am already planning to) - I will definitely stay here again!

Featuring pool with a view and views of mountain, Fare Haurevaiti Moorea is a recently renovated homestay located in Paopao, 9 km from Moorea Green Pearl Golf Course. Gorgeous views of the surrounding area. We had our own bathroom. The place was very clean. Sarah, the host, was super helpful and gave so many good recommendations for things to do. No AC, but this was no issue. Never felt too hot or muggy. 10/10 would recommend.

Offering a garden and garden view, Haere Mai I Te Fare is set in Teavaro, 1.9 km from Temae Beach and 4.6 km from Moorea Green Pearl Golf Course. The host was very helpful and accommodating. We needed to book at rental car at the last minute and the host was able to book us a car the day before we arrived. Breakfast was optional, we weren't sure if we going to do breakfast or not. We had a long day before we arrived, so decided to keep things simple and go with the breakfast which the host offered. It was your usual European breakfast - various breads and pastries, fresh fruit (seasonal), choice of cheese (cheese plate), homemade jams. You can also ask for scrambled eggs, not sure if they're an added cost or not? There's a small communal fridge so you can put groceries in there. So if you wanted to save some money, you have the option of getting groceries and making your own breakfast. Same thing applies with lunch and dinner. You have access to the kitchen, so you can always make your own lunch and dinner. We had the larger room since that's what was available; it's called the Superior Family Room. Very spacious. Very clean. There was A/C which was very welcomed in that heat! Sleeps 2 adults and 2 kids, or you could do 3 adults but the 2 smaller beds might be a bit small... One of the nice things of staying at a Pension in French Polynesia is that you get to meet the local people, as well as get to know other guests who are staying there. The hosts were at breakfast every morning, and there was always a lively conversation with everyone at the table. So it all depends what you're looking for in Mo'orea, if you're looking for something quiet, where you can 'hide' from the world, then maybe a resort is a better fit? But if you're looking for more of an immersive experience and meeting people, then I would consider staying at a Pension. Also have to talk about their 2 dogs, Rex and Gnocchi! They're a bit goofy, very social and friendly. They mostly hung out by themselves, in the common area and grounds, but did enjoy some scratches behind the ears ;)

Very nice place to stay. Lodges are huge. We were watching whales from the beach every morning, which was really unexpected.

Located in Haapiti, 28 km from Moorea Green Pearl Golf Course, Linareva Moorea Beach Resort has a private beach area, private parking and rooms with free WiFi access. From the warming welcome, the property nicely equipped so you could buy your food in the supermarket and repare your meals at the stay, to the beautiful garden and of course the little beach front with the port where you could see the beautiful sunsets or swim and also take a kayak and got adventurous into the sea. Everything that you need its there actually, its pretty much on you, in what you are looking for. The staff is very warm and welcoming and extremely helpful, also the owner are really humble and welcoming If i ever come back to moorea i will look forward to be back to this stay

The bungalow was cozy, comfortable, and had everything I needed for a relaxing getaway. Having a quiet private beach just steps away was a dream. Vaea, the host, is truly amazing - she made me feel right at home and even helped me rent a car on my first day, which made exploring the island so much easier. Thanks to her kindness and attention, my stay was even more special. I absolutely fell in love with Moorea and can’t wait to come back!
