The appart was beautiful, spacious and clean exactly as described and photographed. The building is right on a small beach ocean side (big waves) located close enough from the center and restaurants but not too close. Right across from a small market. The pool is pleasant although in the shade. The staff was very responsive and helpful and arranged airport pick up. This is not a „big, busy, loud“ operation but a well designed, private retreat with lots to do right outside the door if you want it.

Our stay at the Hidden Gem, The Hidden Gem is a small and very fine Bed & Breakfast in the south-east of Barbados, 50m from the coast and a good 10 minutes from the airport. You can get on the #11 bus about 500m away and explore the island without a car. The "Hidden Gem" is a very well maintained large private home. On the first floor there is a lounge area to the right, a living and dining area to the left with a large open kitchen where the owner and her staff prepare breakfast. As soon as you enter the house you will notice the lovely decoration and furnishings. This attention to detail is evident throughout the house, as well as in the garden and pool area. Our room, for example, is a tribute to Audrey Hepburn. Outside: There are several places to sit and relax. We really enjoyed our breakfast outside. Breakfast was offered to us individually: French toast, the typical Caribbean sweet plantains, but also egg dishes on request were very tasty. Our room on the second floor was quite large and had a modern bathroom with shower, sink and toilet. Just to mention a small detail, the towels were nice and of very good quality! WLAN throughout the house was excellent. My wife and I will especially remember the hospitality and genuine helpfulness shown to us by Ameena & Ann-Marie. You can tell from the well-kept condition of the house, the cleanliness (!) and above all the atmosphere that Ann-Marie has lived abroad for a long time and has brought her experience and standards back to her home country and lives in this hidden gem. Thank you so much for taking us in when we needed it (our return flight was cancelled due to the fire at Heathrow).

Fantastic location right on the beach at St Lawrence Gap. The beach is small but very quiet with loungers provided by White Sands. We were often the only people on it. Cyrus (White Sands manager) was a wealth of information, friendly and welcoming. White Sands is walking distance to many bars and restaurants and a short taxi ride away from many more. Our 2 bedroom beach front condo was extremely spacious, comfortable and well equipped - a very relaxing stay.

The location is perfect! Right on the beach with palm trees like paradise. The pool and restaurant are also right by the beach. There are lots of restaurants less than 10 min walk from the hotel. In the sea right by the hotel we saw turtles every day! They play in the waves and pop their heads up for air. It was so amazing

Very nice apartment, well appointed and clean. We had a two bedroom sea view condos, on level 3. The sea breeze on the balcony at night was wonderful as it was very hot in Barbados. The condos had good air-conditioning. It is close to restaurants and in an excellent location right on the beach. Cyrus was an excellent host, very helpful and attentive to our needs. I highly recommend White Sands.

Lovely area right on the beach , very clean, the staff were so good, nothing was too much trouble, lots of different areas to relax in. Our room was lovely and was cleaned everyday.

Perfect location by the beautiful white Dover beach (you can watch the sea turtles while sitting on the beach) and very close to good restaurants. Will stay there again when getting back to Barbados.

Location was perfect, right on the beach. The terrace sun bathing with a view as was the restaurant and bar. Staff were great, smiling and friendly. Ice cold water provided in a water cooler by the bar was a great addition and saved buying any water or taking it down to the beach. The little shop was full of all sorts of presents or gifts for yourself. The long pool at the side was a welcome addition to do some afternoon lengths if you wanted . Overall a great stay, great location, loved the hotel. We booked already for February 2025.

This hotel is just gorgeous. From start to finish we felt so welcomed and comfortable. The staff can’t do enough for you, it is right on the beach and whilst it’s not a private beach (as with all beaches in Barbados), it is on the end you feel very secluded. Fresh pool/beach towels everyday and a very good happy hour in the swim up bar!
