We saw seals, swans, penguins and dolphins close to the shore minutes after arriving. We were simply stopping over for one (very wet) night in Chaitén before catching a ferry, but Hector - our host - was so welcoming, lit a fire and made the cabin super cozy. Héctor, the host, was very committed to making sure our stay was comfortable. He started the fire in our wood burning stove for us several times. Mornings were quite chilly in early November. Located just 3 km north of Chaitén it was close to town for finding dinner spots, and close to several hiking spots. Due to a staff absence, he was not able to provide us with breakfast during our stay, but gave a discount to offset this.Guest review byKathleenYoung couple
