We were most interested in finding a spot close to the beach, away from crowds, close to reef for snorkeling and nature preserve for walking. Casas Del Mar checked all of those boxes. We were able to visit the livelier communities such as Cahuita, Puerto Viejo, and Punta Uva, but then retreat to Manzanilla and the quiet (waves, birds, and monkeys) that we had hoped for… We were there for a weekend and a holiday during our one week stay, and the beach and community was a destination for locals during those days, but even then pretty quiet after dark and in the mornings.

House was very clean and well furnished. Hot shower, refrigerator for cold cervesa’s, washer and dryer. Two minute walk across the street to the beach. Howler monkeys in the morning with your coffee.

The pool was clean and very nice. Our place was very nice, a lot of nice amenities and full sized fridge. Gas stove and pots and pans and full utensils. We had a king sized bed and it had a gated parking) The ocean was right across the street is with nice and loud waves (we could hear the while we were sleeping). The only clunky part was check in was unclear.

We had a wonderful stay at these beautiful villas surrounded by lush nature and just steps away from the beach. The location is perfect for relaxing and enjoying the peaceful environment. The staff were incredibly friendly and welcoming. Breakfast was tasty every morning, the gallo pinto was definitely my favorite

First of all, I would like to say a big thank you to all the extremely professional staff and a special thank you for the person in charge of selecting the staff. I can speak indefinitely about how beautiful the property is and about the unique location on the best beach in the area. It wouldn’t have been the same without all the efforts of the staff. Staying in AWA allows you to experience the wildlife of Costa Rica without leaving your hotel. Howler monkeys , sloths , beautiful frogs and birds are hanging out right over you head :)

The property has direct access to the beach and it is a lovely beach. The villas were well equipped and in front of the pool, which is good too. Breakfast was good. It is a nice place to stay and relax.
