The location is great, very close to restaurants and the beach but also quiet. It's nice to have a living room + kitchen and balconies. Beds were comfortable + AC in the bedrooms is enjoyable. There is everything in the flat if you need to cook.

Great place to stay outside of town in the ‘jungle’, monkeys, humming birds inclusive. The wooden homes are equipped with everything you need for a longer stay. Modern, clean and comfortable. 5min drive from Samara Beach. Friendly and helpful host. Definitely recommend staying here!

What a view: Right in front of the beach. The staff that welcomed us was so nice! We end up eating there and for the view, location, quality of the food and prices, more than worth it.

Small resort with 2 houses. Nice wooden balcony and raw wood room furniture. Good pool. Recommended breakfast. Lothar is an attentious host. Shop, laundry+café (recommend iWash), ATM 500meters, beach also the same. Recommend the soda eatery La Perla approx 1km westwards.

Everything was perfect about this place! Such lovely and helpful host. Breakfast was always made with such love and attention. Rooms are clean and comfy. Garden is lush and green. The staff were very warm and welcoming. Felt like a family. They clearly take a ton of pride in their work. And they work very hard to make the stay memorable. The location is so good. 5 minute drive from Samara town. 1 minute drive to Carillo beach. 2 minute walk down a dirt road to the ocean, at the furthermost corner of Samara beach. The food at the hotel is good, the drinks are excellent. The pool is ideal for young kids. Several good sodas nearby, and other restaurants for pizza, falafel, pasta, etc. Howler monkeys in the trees in the morning. Geckos for the kids to chase at night. We plan to come back again for a longer stay (this time was 6 nights).

Casa Buenavista is located in Carrillo, 300 meters from the beach. It offers air-conditioned rooms in a tropical garden.

Well... I had booked two nights and ended up staying an extra day at this well-run and relaxed place in Carrillo. Vincent and his family gave us a warmly welcome and made our stay very pleasant. Their homemade breakfast is exquisite with the panqueques and jams far above anything (You must try it) The room is nicely decorated and very confortable and has a private terrasse for breakfast, the garden is beautiful, the place is very quiet, and the Carrillo beach is just 350 meters away. But what this place makes really that special are the hosts themselves, they are so friendly and always took time to talk to us although they had a lot of things to manage, they helped us whenever we needed. We'll certainly be back!
