Beach Hotels in Shanklin

We loved absolutley everything about this magical place! Right on the beach, next to a delicious restaurant and so cozy and homey! But that's all thanks to the lovely Helen, Dave and Richard - such warm and kind hospitality, the likes of which you can only enjoy when the people running their business truly care about their clients! Lovely property in fantastic location, restaurants and beach a 5 minute walk away. Upon arrival, the sofa bed was not made up, there was also a problem no running hot water. Maintenance was easy to contact and sorted out straight away by calling a plumber out to sort out the boiler. Despite these hiccups, I would stay again.

Perfect location, with the sea 15 yards in front of you with no obstructions to the beautiful view. Travelled from London which was unexpectedly easy with train and hovercraft on one ticket door to door. Apartment was beautiful and Stan and Norie have made it a "home from home" Arrived and accessed the keys without any issues after excellent communication from both Stan and Norie, who could not been have more helpful in assisting us. Spotlessly clean in both the communal areas and the apartment. Coffee, tea and the basic essentials were awaiting us which was great after our journey. There is a lift as you enter the building which takes you to the first floor apartment and is a godsend for anyone with mobility issues. Stan and Norie, literally have everything you'd have in your own home - A washing machine, microwave, hoover, fans and even a hairdryer. Both rooms have tonnes of storage and hanging space. There are two restaurants/pubs 20 yards to your left - The Steamer Inn and I can't remember the other name :) We were not driving so made full use of the island buses which can be accessed from the station off the main street in Shanklin. We used the lift to get access to the top of the cliff and if you're not too fit would recommend using this. Travelled to Ventnor on the bus £2 and went to the Smoking Lobster Restaurant on the seafront. Looks very unassuming and needs to be booked in advance but well worth it - Haven't tasted Lobster that good in years - Food has an Asian twist and is delicious. If like us and travelling on Public Transport or indeed, fancy a night out without driving, we found a lovely taxi driver by the name of Paul and he can be contacted in advance of any nights out on 01983777759. We will definitely be returning (If Stan and Norie will have us :)) and could not recommend Tides Reach and its owners enough.

The Accommodation was excellent! For the views! Food excellent Beaches clean!

it was a beautiful building that felt very homey! the manager was absolutely lovely and learning the history of the building made our stay even more special.

Property was a great period property with amazing views over the town and Ventnor bay. At dusk bats flew around the garden and the sounds of the sea and sea birds have a really relaxing holiday feel. Beds were comfortable, all facilities we needed and plenty of space for big family group. Ample parking and close to local shops for picking up essentials. Great base for exploring the island.

Love the location & food on offer at The Buddle. It was a lovely overnight getaway & we were the first guest so felt really special. Wonderful staff

Absolutely gorgeous apartment overlooking the sea. It really feels like you've walked into a show home, everything was furnished and decorated to a very hand standard. The property also contained all the necessary kitchen amenities needed, so no need to bring anything for a short stay.

Great location with stunning views situated very close to sandown town.
