the Hotel is located on the Stonehaven Harbor. The Ship Inn is also a traditional pub, where if you want you can have a dinner or only drink. The breakfast is amazing and complete. you can choose what you prefer eat at the menu (full complete Scottish breakfast, pudding and other options) and there is an self-service area with fruit juices, cereals, fruits, cookies, yogurts, bread, jam and butter. The rooms are upstairs at the first floor, with all the comforts you need. The Hotel doesn't have a private parking zone, but there are a lot of free parking area around the bay. Is a good place to stay for visited the Dunnotar Castle, Stonehaven and nearby.

Incredible value for the price. The rooms were small but confortable, you could see the sea and the sunrise from the window. Bathroom were also small but perfect, and the very large towel appreciated. Breakfast was really good too. We loved our short stay there.

Excellent location for exploring the area, by car or foot (right next to the coastline). Lovely room. Exceptional breakfast :) Robert was an excellent host, easy to talk to, full of ideas for visits: he also gave up his time to show us around Hallgreen Castle. The castle is worth the visit just for itself, spanning centuries of history, eloquently presented by Robert whose enthusiasm for the building is infectious. Thank you for a wonderful short break :)

The cottage is a beautiful old fisherman's house with a splendid cosy interior. It is seconds away from the beautiful harbour, the beautiful seafront and highly recommendable pubs. Shopping possibilities easy accessible. We came by train and managed well with the walk from the station.

    This establishment is more of a pub with a hotel upstairs, and that is charming in many ways. The overall atmosphere were great. The city had just ended a folk music festival and the musicians were playing for hours down at the bar. Breakfast and dinner were served down at the pub. The breakfast was pretty good and the dinners were very good. The hotel is located as central to the town as possible, and close to the seaside walkway. The cleaning staff were very friendly and helpful.

    Location was amazing, right on the beach front. Bed was very comfortable and shower was great. Food and drink items left were varied and plenty. Room was clean and spacious.

    Came to Stonehaven for the New Years Fireballs event. Our room was clean, cozy, and with a smart tv, kettle with tea & coffee & biscuits, hairdryer, and clothes hangers. Shower was hot and clean. All staff were very nice. Dinner and breakfast were delicious. Liked the view of the beach from the window. We took a walk on the seaside path accessed just around the corner. Council parking right across the street is £5 for all day.
