Located in quite a busy residential area, we arrived early and the welcome couldn't have been better, the owner is from America and so enthusiastic. This is his project and while basic in many respects, and with no frills, it clean, tidy and excellent value for what we paid. The owner could not have been more welcoming, we were the only guests due to the season, and were given an apartment ourselves rather than a room in one, so we benefitted from well equipped kitchen and bathroom. The whole place could benefit from long-term investment and that may be the owner's aim, but the beauty of the place was its authenticity and cheap cost; his priority is welcoming guests with comfortable, good value accommodation. We were provided with beautiful local oil, honey & oregano and given lovely pastries were delivered next morning. Given what we paid, we couldn't have asked for more.

Pharae Palace is located on the famous Kalamata beachfront and just few minutes away from the shopping districts and the port of Kalamata.

The location was superb - you can walk to the beach comfortably in less than 10minutes, so many shops close by including bakeries and cafes. Restaurants are also close. The winning aspect was the comfort - the air conditioning was perfect, and the whole house felt like a “home”. It honestly had everything you’d need in a holiday home. The automatic shutters also made for a great nights sleep in total darkness

The house is just like in the pictures, good size bedrooms, big bathroom and livingroom. The kitchen has everything you will need to cook your meals. Huge terace on top of the house with a sun room so you can eat upstairs in any weather and you have the view on the sea. There are orange trees and lemon trees at the back of the house and you can smell the orange blossoms when you open the windows. You can park your car in front of the house and its a 2 min easy walk to the beach and the restaurants. At night it is very quite and we had very good sleep. We rented a car because it was cheap and we wanted to explore the area a bit, but if you only plan to go for a beach holiday, don't bother.
