Jim is a fantastic host who made this place feel like home. He offered an entire apartment (low season) without extra charge, had everything super clean and ready for my stay and even gifted some of his homemade products and home-produced olive oil! Very internationally friendly, met people from all around the globe. Sitting at the balcony in the afternoon breeze under the sun in that serene neighborhood is the perfect setting for relaxation. Phenomenal place and host, the definition of Greek hospitality! Couldn't recommend more.

Pharae Palace is located on the famous Kalamata beachfront and just few minutes away from the shopping districts and the port of Kalamata.

Our room was large, clean, and had a terrance on the bay. Everyone on the staff was very helpful suggesting local villages and hikes that we hadn’t previously considered. The grounds were large enough for an evening walk and the patio tables always seemed to have guests happily swapping stories. Even though we didn’t use the spa, it looked inviting.

I just got back from a stay at Rocksecret Edge near Kalamata, and I have to say, it was a great experience! First off, parking was a breeze, which is always a relief when you’re traveling. The views from the place are absolutely gorgeous! I found myself just staring out at the scenery. Plus, you’re only a two-minute walk from the beach, which is perfect for those lazy days by the water. And if you’re hungry, there’s fantastic food and drinks right on the beach—definitely a win! Inside the apartment, I was really impressed with how comfortable the bed was. The sheets were super crisp, and I slept like a baby every night. It’s spacious enough to fit four people, so it’s great for a small group or family trip. Oh, and having a great restaurant right next door was a huge bonus. It made it so easy to grab a meal without having to drive anywhere. Overall, I had a wonderful time at Rocksecret Edge and would definitely recommend it to anyone looking for a relaxing getaway in Kalamata!

I loved our stay at this hotel! Michalis greeted us with a warm welcome and explained everything very well. He is a great source of info and knowledge about Kalamata, Greece, and other places! Mr. Dmitri is such a pleasure - he brought us breakfast everyday. And the food is superb, fresh, local - and the olives are to die for! Nothing beats knowing that the olives and oil you are eating come directly from their grove! Both Mr. Dmitri and Michalis (and George) made us feel like "home" - and you can sense it in the pride they show in their property. The room was a really great sized one. The kitchenette area was clean - new scrubbing pad, plates and glasses not chipped, matching cutlery, clean and good-sized fridge. Good upholstered seats too! Bathroom was a good size. Shower pressure great and drains well. Good restaurants within walking distance, with the beach right there to cap your dinners. Overall, the best stop during our trip around the Peloponnese!!!

Beautiful hotel! Very kid-friendly as well. The rooms - recently renovated - were impeccable. The food was excellent (the breakfast that was included, and the food we paid for), and the facilities were great. We really appreciated the shallow pool for kids.

A good location for a stress-free stay in Kalamata, Messinian View is a condo hotel surrounded by views of the pool.

Beautiful place to relax and sit by the pool. Although not a full service hotel, the staff was very helpful and accomodating when they were on property. The rooms were spacious and clean. Many room amenitiees and more including a satisfactorily stocked kitchenette. The pool and view were wonderful. Just a great place to unwind after a few busy days travelling and site seeing before heading out for more.

Beautiful apartment with all the facilities needed to enjoy your stay in complete comfort & the best of the area. Bed was cosy and we slept so well here. Loved having dishwasher & washing machine (new). Most of all loved close proximity to the wonderful Kalamata beach, cafes and restaurants not forgetting to mention our lovely hosts for their hospitality. We came as strangers and leave as friends.
