Beach Hotels in Kumarakom

The skipper was excellent, the route was perfect, the views were spectacular, the meals were very tasty. Extremely kind staff.

Are we in paradise or Eden? We can imagine looking on to the waters a world without humankind other than an occasional fishing boat passing by. We turn our backs and look towards the resort designed in a U shape with an excellent integration of traditional crafted architecture.

Property was nice, waterfront, good food and good owner

Ether Marari Beachfront provides a serene retreat with sea views and an immaculately kept garden, offering a peaceful respite from the hustle and bustle beyond its grounds. The golden sand beach is inviting, and the ocean water is clean but not clear (I doubt this is a flaw of the place, it's just the nature of the ocean in this part of the world.) There are nice waves to play in in the water, and there's no stones in the water. The water also doesn't get deep too rapidly. It's a great beach overall, especially considering that it's usually empty aside from another hotel guest or two sharing it with you. Regarding the shore reinforcement work nearby, when we went the work happening on the beach was basically done in front of Ether, and they were working on the next segment over. I would say it's no longer an issue to be concerned about. The accommodations are spacious, spotless, and meticulously maintained, ensuring a comfortable stay. The pool at the resort is pristine and spotless, so if the waves on the beach are too big, you can still cool off in the pool. We were seriously impressed how clean the pool was. There is no fixed menu, which can make it difficult to know what dishes are available or possible, especially for foreign guests who may be unfamiliar with the options. That said, the meals are overall enjoyable, thoughtfully prepared, and of good quality. Prices at the restaurant are midway between touristy restaurants and the more local (but still touristy restaurants). The manager is friendly and eager to assist with arranging transportation or fulfilling other requests. Thank you Max for taking good care of us. :) The staff are exceptionally attentive and service-oriented, despite occasional language challenges. All in all, Ether Marari Beachfront is peaceful oasis with warm hospitality with all the western amenities. Most of all, we appreciated that this is not a giant corporate resort, so you still get that personal touch.

Very friendly and caring host! He was always smiling, arranged trips for us and recommended things. It’s a beautiful and very clean hostel - we enjoyed it very much.

Marari Beach Bungalow is a slice of paradise. From the moment we arrived we were treated like royalty. The hotel is absolutely exquisite. Everything from the furniture to the art work is thought out so carefully. The garden and pool area are magical. The pool was far bigger than we had thought. This hotel felt more like a retreat as it was so relaxing and peaceful. The rooms were very big and comfortable. The beds were huge and very comfy! The staff were the kindest, friendliest most helpful people I’ve ever met at any hotel. The wonderful couple who own the hotel clearly love their hotel and have put in so much care to make the experience so special. We could not be more grateful to them! The beach is a 5 minute walk. It’s a long beautiful beach, lovely and quiet. We had the most wonderful swims there. We were all very sad to leave and cannot wait to return to this heavenly place!

Family is friendly and hospitable. The room is clean and spacious. It is very good location near the beach. Food is very delicious and variety. We really enjoyed staying there. We highly recommend!

The breakfast was the best one i had in Kerala, Suzan Aunty is the one of the best host, very warm and helpful. Her hospitality and the way she cares about the guest is commendable. She made our whole family feel at home, we celebrated my sisters 50th birthday there and she let us decorate the living room to party in it. It is very close to the beach, restaurants and cafes around. She helped me book house boat and massage as well.

Place with amazing owner first of all. That creates nice vibe inside. It's clean and comfortable
