- We rented a villa at Seahorse, which was very spacious, clean, and had everything we needed - it was a comfortable and great place to stay - The location of the accomodation was very central - The hotel staff was exceptionally friendly and assisted us even with special requests (e.g. helped us renting bikes, arranged airport transfers, etc.) - they made our stay easy and convenient

I enjoyed staying at Shigira, the service was great, the room condition was perfect. All the staffs were so kind, especially the English staff(so sorry that I forgot the name) helped us book dinners for the whole stay and upgrade our room to ocean view. I would definitely choose Shigira for my next stay. Thanks a lot!

This is the place you are dreaming of! We were looking for something special to end our honeymoon trip to Japan. Miyako island is an incredible place, and the rescape makes it even better.  This is not the typical resort with enormous buildings over the sea. The rescape is literally immersed in nature without ruining it.  We stayed in the comfort cottage, a huge room with a private swimming pool. Everything was just perfect: pool, beds, shower, bath tub, breakfast (both "western" and Japanese, served on alternating days). The shabu shabu dinner served to the room was delicious, totally worth it! I appreciated their care for the environment. Also, the staff is so kind and discreet: they will give you all the privacy you need but they're always ready to help you.

The location might not be for everyone but for those who want an authentic experience, our stay located on Ikema jima was perfect. Away from the hustle and bustle of tourist activity, Coral Sea villa exceeded our expectations in terms of location (30 second walk across the road to the beach, the living space is flooded with natural light, exceptional views), cleanliness, facilities (hot tub, kitchen, comfortable beds, ice cold air conditioners, large TV, generous hotel-style toiletries in a sleepy) and quiet neighbourhood where you get a glimpse of the local lifestyle.

My biggest fear was that I would be judged in terms of belonging there, as I have never been to such an exclusive place. In reality, the stay felt like spending time at a friend's place. The staff was very friendly and it was easy to get in touch. During trips it felt like hanging out, and when great things happened (like spotting a sea turtle), genuine excitement was shared.
