Beach Hotels in Yakushima

Staying at NagataSeaTime was truly the highlight of our trip to Japan. The location is absolutely the best on the island – just few minutes away from beautiful beaches perfect for snorkeling with colorful tropical fish. We were lucky to visit during sea turtle nesting season, and had the unforgettable opportunity to join an official evening tour at Inakahama beach (5min away with car) where we learned about turtle conservation and even saw them laying eggs – an experience we’ll never forget. The area is also close to Yakushima’s wild west coast, where you can often see wild macaques and Sika deer freely roaming in their natural habitat. The house itself is fully equipped with everything you need – a complete kitchen, washing machine, and very clean and comfortable amenities. We also rented a car directly from the owners, which made exploring the island super easy. At night, the starry sky above the house was absolutely magical – unlike anything we’ve ever seen. We tried some of the activities offered through the accommodation, including snorkeling and kayaking, and both were fantastic. Shio and Anthony took such great care of us – warm, welcoming, and full of helpful advice. We 1000% recommend staying at NagataSeaTime and spending time in this part of the island. We’re already dreaming of coming back!

A beautiful wooden house right next to the ocean. Everything was super clean, well equiped and the host was very nice to us, helped us a lot and gave great advice about the island! The sky view from the terrace was stunning.
