Beach Hotels in Bentota

We absolutely loved this hotel. Out of all the hotels we stayed in for a month in Sri Lanka we liked this one and one other hotel the best. We got the room at a reduced rate online and the value for money was exceptional. The property has small number of rooms yet has so much space and so many sitting areas. The gardens and decor are really nice. The pool was really nice and clean. The beach area is really nice to walk and clean, really great beach for walking and just ten minutes walk on beach to main area. The rooms are really nice, very large, very clean, great bed and linen and areas to sit and big balcony with very comfortable seating. The bathroom is large and good. The bathroom is a bit open but they put mosquito prevention items etc and there weren’t any mosquitoes as they fumigate but would be easier if they just put flyscreen in bathroom. The staff were very friendly and helpful, breakfast was good. The property feels very luxurious and intimate. The dinner menu was limited with western food only that was very formal and no snacks etc. It is understandable to have limited menu because at the time we stayed there were only three groups of guests. However there are many eating options in Bentota so there was no problem at all, the place across the road was cheap and cheerful and Nova Seafood was really, really good.

Fantastic place - with an exceptionally friendly staff. The service level was far higher than expected, and in a very welcoming manner. We have stayed in many places in Sri Lanka and in Asia in general - but this place is by far the best place we have stayed in terms of quality, atmosphere and price.

Great location, couple mins from a beach, good breakfast, great value for a money

After 13 (budget) accommodations in Sri Lanka, this was definitely the best value for our money. Large and very clean room, very kind hosts, nicely located between the beach and the main road and a well-working shower with hot water.

Attention to detail Good breakfast and dinner

Really kind and helpful host. We have have arrived on the 24th of Dezember, and our ac had a problem. In 30 mins, he organized a repair. This is just amazing on Christmas afternoon. Clean, well equipped rooms and the hotel location is great. 5 mins the beach, great restaurants in 2-3 mins. The owner has a good surf school too where we surfed 1 hour at a good price.

Beautiful boutique hotel with very great details to the interiors, loved their food and they are very accommodating and cook anything outside of their menu too. Beach is accessible and a pleasant one. Would definitely recommend it

They went out of their way to ensure that I had everything I needed, offering insightful recommendations for local attractions, arranging transport, and even preparing delicious traditional meals that felt like home-cooked delights. They treated me not just as a guest, but like part of their family, which made all the difference in my experience. Whether you’re looking for a peaceful retreat to relax and unwind or a base to explore the beauty of Bentota, Sithuka Villa is the perfect choice. I will definitely be returning in the future.
