Loved my stay here, location was perfect, centrally located to weligama, mirissa and ahangama but off the main road so no noise and walking distance to jungle beach. The hotel is brand new, super clean, modern and beautifully designed. Stayed in the sea view suite and absolutely loved. The views from the rooftop were amazing to start your day watching the sunrise, having breakfast or just relaxing with a book. Enrico the owner was amazing, super sweet, helpful and generous. Great communication always with guests and giving so many recommendations all over the weligama area for dinner, drinks, sunset etc. really made it an amazing stay. His breakfast in the morning was a great way to start the morning. Super accommodating even letting me store bags and hang out before my later departure. Highly recommend, highlight of my trip!

Swell Shacks is the best place to stay in Mirissa! 🌴 It’s such a peaceful and detoxifying spot — perfect if you want to truly relax and destress. Their amenities are very modern and well thought out, and the breakfast they provided was amazing. The staff are so warm, kind, and hospitable, always making sure guests are comfortable. Honestly, I can’t say anything bad about this place — everything was perfect. Highly recommend for anyone visiting Mirissa!

New, quiet, clean and just perfect place for resting! We enjoyed it so much and really want to come back. My wife has been in Sri Lanka for 4 times, and it’s the best hotel in any means. The room was really big and spacious, breakfasts delicious, swimming pool clean, staff and manager were extremely helpful and kind. Thank you for such a good experience.

Our stay at the lodge was wonderful! The location is absolutely beautiful and the décor is charming and welcoming. The area is so peaceful, it made for a perfectly relaxing getaway. Absolutely in love with the place that Wounderfull couple is managing! The whole team made out stay incredible and unforgettable, the varied so much about us almost every moment we stepped out of the room. Mr and Mrs Dias are always in the hotel, approachable if you need something. The hotel has a great security, it is not easy for strangers to come in. Also it is located on the Main Street it is very quiet and we slept well. The beach and some good restaurants are just couple minutes walk. The room was clean with everything you need, comfortable beds, hot shower with very good water pressure. Breakfast was very good with small compliments from the chef. We really enjoyed the place and would love to come back to this particular hotel next time we visit Sri Lanka.

As the name suggests, the view is amazing. You can view the whole beach from the hostel itself. The host was very polite and respectful towards the guest. Breakfast was amazing too which includes Sri Lankan breakfast on one of the days and it was very delicious. The dorms were clean, spacious and air conditioned. The bathrooms had showers with multiple settings and were clean too. Overall, an 10/10 experience. Nothing to call out.

Highly recommend! Stayed at this family-run guesthouse/hotel for one month. Zero issues. The room (with balcony overlooking a backyard) was spacious, clean and quiet. King size bed was comfortable and protected by a mosquito net. Really neat! Ample sized bathroom with hot/cold water. The fridge is in the common area downstairs. Room cleaning on demand. There's also a restaurant on premises that serves breakfast, lunch and dinner. The owners and staff are super friendly and accomodating. Can arrange a reasonably priced taxi wherever you might need to go. Any other questions and concerns are eagerly answered and helped with pronto. Very laid-back atmosphere overall. Right outside of the hotel on the main road there are two fruit stands, a masage salon and a couple of good mom&pop grocery stores. Easy access (3-5 min) to the ocean and Coconut Tree Hill. Mirissa Beach is a 13 minute walk. Evening/night time the area is pretty quiet as all nightlife happens ~2 km down the main road. Definitely worth the money!

Home from home! Ruwan and his family couldn’t have made us feel more welcome to their lovely Homestay. Nothing was too much trouble. The room had a very comfortable bed and modern bathroom. The shower was powerful and in the heat a welcome relief. Our room was on the small side but this wasn’t a problem as the outside space had a hammock, table and chairs. Breakfast was served daily by Ruwan and his lovely daughter. It was fresh and plentiful and always delivered with a big smile. The air conditioning in the room wasn’t great and took some getting used to. Ruwan did kindly offer to change our room but we declined as we didn’t want to inconvenience him with another room to clean. However it is only fair to share this information. We stayed 4 Nights with Ruwan and his family and everyday he checked on our welfare, if we needed anything or a ride anywhere. He organised a wonderful Whale watching trip for us, one we would recommend, as a must when in this area. Ruwan kindly cooked us a delicious Sri Lanka. Fish supper despite his wife only day’s earlier giving birth to their son. On New Years Day the family invited us for breakfast in their home. The food was plentiful, delicious and a reflection of this family’s kindness and willingness to share their hospitality with us. I urge Anyone in this area to visit Ruwan and his family if wanting an authentic experience. Ruwan, thank you , we will be back. You are in our hearts forever. Xox
