It was beautiful. The rooms are tidy and comfortable. The multiple trees made the temperature cooler. It was really relaxing to just hang out outside the house. Ruwan was the best host one could have. He was so helpful and friendly and enthusiastic. He arranged pick up from the airport for us, took us around in his tuk-tuk , took us snokerling and surfing. He was also really fun to chill with. The food here was heavenly, it’s a slice of traditional cuisine . Ruwan went out of his way to serve us tea and coconut water when we requested. If you want to experience the authentic Mirissa you must definitely visit.

First things first: The Owner! Prasad is an amazingly welcoming person, very helpful and flexible. When we felt unwell one day - he found a doctor and drove us there and back (Thank you once again!). Different local breakfast every day prepared by the owner with explanations for each dish. Accommodation is at a walking distance to the beach and main street with markets. Cleaned every day, towels and towel bag for free! You can also buy bottles of water in the accommodation , take the bottle and leave the money - which is very handy if markets are closed. Overall - very clean and very cosy place! :)

Our stay at Saltasia was just perfection. The staff were so kind and welcoming. The food was incredible and they were extremely accommodating to vegan dietary requirements. The best Sri Lankan curry I had during my whole trip! Our room was stunning and really clean. Such a comfortable bed. The location right on the beach meant you could relax to the sound of the waves all day and we got to see Turtles near the shore in the evening. You are also only a few minutes walk from Coconut Hill. There is a tuk tuk driver next door who we were able to use easily to get around Mirissa. Wish we could have stayed for longer!
