Ruth, the host lives behind the property and came to welcome us on arrival and gave us some helpful information and then left us to it. Ruth was also responsive to my request for help regarding the oven...that was more the operator that was the problem.🥴 The view is fantastic, right on the waterfront. There's no TV in the place but you don't need it cause you're always looking at the views. You can watch the planes arrive and the ferries do their crossing to and from the South Island. There is some road noise but Ruth has a water feature that helps with that, but you could turn it off if you like. There's no blinds facing the road so people on the road can see in. It didn't worry me though, the rooms are private. You have a choice of beds that range from quite firm to softer. I loved the colours in the bathroom. Well stocked kitchen. No microwave but has an oven, stovetop and double airfryer. Close to shops and takeaways within walking distance. It only took about 10 minutes to get to the airport. I would definitely recommend this property.

What a beautiful house and location! Everything inside is so well thought out from the beautiful bathrooms and bedrooms to the big kitchen and lounge area, it's like a home away from home. The communication was fantastic and the book with information around local attractions and places to visit and eat was a great added touch for someone who hasn't visited Wellington before. The view and big bay windows was the icing on the cake for this property, we loved watching the ocean, seeing planes take off and land and the boats coming in/out, along with the occasional dolphin sighting as well. Another note is the property is on a really busy street so please take extra caution crossing the road.

Everything was spectacular!! The view was absolutely amazing, the breakfast each morning was delicious and fresh, the cleanliness was stellar, the hospitality by Raewynne was lovely... everything was beyond our expectations. The pictures don't do the place justice. The weather for a while was severe, with massive winds, but the house is built so solidly, you felt no drafts or insecurity. The owner thought of everything to make you feel safe, upgraded, and well cared for.
