We loved our stay at Anchor Watch! The location is wonderful - so close to the harbour, kids playground and a nice walk into the main street for cafes, shops and beach access. The property has everything you could need while on holidays - the kids toys were very much appreciated, plenty of beach equipment to use and the kitchen is well kitted out too! Rooms were large, comfy beds and the living area and outdoor area very spacious too. My family have been coming to Whangamata for over 50 years & this was our first time staying somewhere other than my families homes, so it was a pleasure to stay somewhere that felt so homely, just like our own! The hosts Lorraine & Tony had great communication and we appreciated their flexibility 😊

The place was beautiful and so cozy which we loved. The driveway was very tight so we do wish we have been notified about that but everything else was so perfect and we adored it.

Beautiful accommodation, well equipped and fantastic location. The owner was extremely welcoming and kind, and there was plenty of privacy. We'd certainly recommend the studio or return if we are in the area. An added bonus was the extremely comfy bed.

Fantastic location- just a step across the grassy bank from the verandah to the little estuary. Quiet and peaceful with lovely walks from your front door - along and around the estuary, the harbour or along the esplanade to the ocean and surfing beach. More fantastic beaches just a short drive away. And all the excellent amenities of this friendly and laid-back little town just 3 minutes walk. Accommodation even comes with a kayak that you can take out on the estuary - when the tide is in! Very well appointed with a big comfortable bed and everything you need.
