Very nice host, even though we arrived almost at midnight he was waiting for us with the home made liqueur and madeira cake:) and after he was treated us with delicious local fruit. The house is very comfortable, kitchen well equipped. There are radiators in both of the bedrooms which is reaaly important this part of the year.

The apartment had absolutely everything you need for self catering. Comfortable bed. Plenty of towels. Washing machine facilities. More importantly unbelievable sea views. Very spacious self contained apartment. Additional extras available were shampoo, conditioner, toilet paper, cleaning products, tennis rackets, snorkeling fins, books, brochures, bottle openers, salt / pepper, sandwich wrapping, spare shopping bags.... you name it, it was present. Bars restaurants and shopping near bar. An unbelievable pastry place around the corner. Also traditional sea food restaurant. Walking distance to Funchal. About 40 minutes of stunning views and nice places to take a break along the way.

Fantastic apartment within walking distance to all of the best areas in Funchal. High quality facilities in the apartment which was very clean upon our arrival. Great safe parking facilities too. Cristina was available by phone for any questions, and was a very friendly and full of suggestions for things to do on the island. An exceptional stay which I would recommend to all!

Ventur flat was exceptionally clean, with ample amounts of linen and towels and a very comfortable bed. The kitchen area was excellent with everything you could possibly need and also a comfortable seating area with a flat screen TV. The Wi-Fi was good quality and consistent. However, it was the balcony, with it’s wonderful sea view, that made the property for us. It was so lovely to sit out in the morning for breakfast and to enjoy a glass of wine in the evening as the sun was going down. In addition to this, the number of excellent restaurants within a very short walking was great. A Traineira and Vila Ventura garden restaurant were our favourites. I would highly recommend this property!

We had an absolutely wonderful experience at Albatroz Beach & Yacht Club. The location is simply unbeatable — perched on the edge of the ocean with breathtaking views and easy access to both nature and nearby attractions. What truly made the stay exceptional was the staff. Every single person we interacted with was warm, professional, and genuinely committed to making our stay as pleasant as possible. Their hospitality exceeded all expectations. The tennis court, set against the backdrop of the sea, is very nice. The pool area down by the ocean is spectacular. It’s peaceful, beautifully designed, and feels like your own private retreat. Very good restaurant as well. We were lucky enough to extend our stay by two extra nights, and so grateful we did. It gave us more time to soak in the peaceful atmosphere and enjoy everything the hotel has to offer. We will definitely be back. This place is a true gem.
