We had an amazing stay! The hotel is very clean, the service was excellent, and the whole experience was truly wonderful. Thank you for the wonderful hospitality! It was an amazing experience — great service and a very clean place, We would like to sincerely thank Barbara, house keeping manager, for preparing a delicious dinner and making our stay so comfortable. Everything we asked for, she responded to with care and attention, and she truly surprised us with her warm hospitality. The meal she made for us was wonderful and very tasty. We highly recommend this place — Barbara made our experience unforgettable!

Clarissa and her team will try to read your wishes, so you just have to think about something and it will happen ;) Clarissa’s very knowledgable about La Digue and she will organize bikes, excursions, transportation etc. She gave us a full overview of the island with all restaurants, take aways, beaches etc and that kept us pretty busy for our stay. We had a drinking-water refill station in our room, so we could safe a tan of single-use-plastic bottles, which was a very nice addition to the room. On our last day, we were allowed to keep our towels, stored our luggage, and took a shower near the pool, after a day at the beach, before heading back to the ferry, which was super comfortable. We had an amazing stay at the Hyde-Tide Guesthouse and we would return anytime. Thanks for having us and keep up the good work!

The location is great, less than a 10 minute walk from the ferry and multiple restaurants nearby. There’s a small grocery store out front too which is convenient. The bed was comfortable and the apartment was very spacious. The view from our Ocean View could not be beat. Just perfect. There’s a small beach in back which is great for a quick swim, but you’ll want to bike to the more scenic beaches nearby. Our apartment was spotless and nicely decorated (little touches like flowers, and nicely folded sheets) when we arrived and cleaned daily. Staff were very friendly and communicative. No problem paying with card even though some reviews said that was an issue.

The rooms were well decorated and furnished, and there was a great small balcony. The price was very fair considering the great location (right between the ferry and Anse Source D'argent) and the nice rooms. The staff though is why I would stay there again, They were super nice and went out of their way to help us out. I wanted a sea view room but it was taken so on the second there, they moved us to a different one with a balcony with a better view. There were a few issues with the reservations and they were understanding and patient. They let us check out at a later time so that was super convenient and also booked our taxis with very fair prices! Thank you Mr. Girish and Akash for the wonderful stay!

We were in one of the Lodge’s special buildings, in the house located within the L'Union Estate National Park. It is completely separate from the main building and the double bungalows, and you have to cycle about 1 km to reach the main building. In return, you can enter the national park for free, and several times a day you pass the Grand Monolith and the giant tortoises living beneath it. I recommend this for families, as there are two separate rooms with two bathrooms and a central area with a well-equipped kitchen (microwave, oven, kettle), and we also had a washing machine. There was also a large TV with many channels available. There is plenty of space, the building is airy, not a tiny hotel room. The terrace is wonderful because from there you can see the ocean – the water is about 10 metres from the house – and you can walk down between fig trees and palms to the white sand. Since this area is part of the otherwise closed national park, there is nobody on the beach, even though in theory they could be, because in Seychelles all beaches are accessible, so anyone can go there. It is astonishing how undisturbed the beach is – in the evening the crabs had dug themselves into the sand, knowing that between 7 p.m. and 9 a.m. nobody would be around. I congratulate the people of La Digue and Seychelles for their nature-friendly way of life; we also tried not to disturb the wildlife. At night there is perfect silence, only the roar of the ocean can be heard. We booked the house with breakfast, and it was very good – varied and tasty. It was great that breakfast was available until 10 a.m., so late enough that there was no stress. The house is a 15-minute bike ride from one of the world’s most beautiful beaches (Grand Anse) and within walking distance of another (Anse Source d’Argent). Every single person we came into contact with was very kind, helpful, and polite.
